Suppose you don't ever want to use the stork story or lie to them about it no matter what age they are because that will cause, in turn, trust issues between the child and parent(s), and confusion. How do you tell them the truth? |

@OP: Tell them the truth. Don't try to sugar coat it with silly names or telling them that some animal brings babies. At a certain age, children start to become aware of their bodies and their existence. When/if they are able to identify that there is a difference in their anatomy compared to some one of the opposite s.ex then I think its time for them to understand the honest truth. Take the child to a farm and let him or her watch a chicken lay an egg. Or a cow give birth. You don't have to make it complicated. Just let them watch another animal do it.  |
