I guess it’s because their partner is US based and they can’t go against US SEC rule. However, down the line, if they team up with a registered non-US based broker, the amount won’t be up to that.

For crypto stock enthusiasts, instead of buying only crypto mining coys like MARA, CAN, EBON whose share price tends to follow the price movement of BTC and ETH, consider diversifying to own at least one crypto trading exchange/brokerage coy like COIN (Coinbase) LGHL (Lion Group Holding), FTCV (SPAC merging with eToro), VYGVF (Voyager Digital Ltd.) or BBKCF (BIGG Digital Assets Inc.).

Exchanges make money (revenue) from trading fees and commissions, regardless of whether crypto (BTC, ETH, XRP etc.) prices are low or high.

From my analysis and based on a risk/reward perspective, the Canadian online Brokerage firm, BBKCF which closed at $3.19 (listed on T-212) is the most undervalued amongst the crypto exchanges. Apart from owning an exchange (Netcoins) and having 300 BTC in its books, BBKCF also owns proprietary crypto software's like "BitRank" and "QLUE" which are increasingly being used by many Banks and govt agencies. BBKCF reported on Feb 21, 2021 that its daily revenue from trading on its exchange exceeds $100k per day.
