CowbellY: Thanks. From earlier comments, I see Bamboo takes days to process requests |

Could anyone with dollars on Trove check for me how much withdrawal to Naira bank account is? Because I can see N431 to convert to Dollars and N422 to convert back to Naira 1 Like |

thetelz: The run like a BDC, the spread is their cut. So you have to factor it into your trades' break even prices. 1 Like |

thetelz: That's interesting. When I credited my Trove account, it took them about 2 days to convert naira to USD. When I got round to using my Bamboo, they mentioned a 24 hour wait but I was surprised to get a mail about 4 hours later, confirming the deposit. Again, this is all personal experience. Might differ elsewhere. 3 Likes |

CowbellY: Almost the same experience that I have had so far with Bamboo. Crediting your account takes roughly 24hrs. When I sell a stock, it takes a day or two for my money to reflect in my account. I cannot speak for Trove and Chaka as I don't yet use them. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by gamaliel9: 12:11pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
Tabuse20: I use Chaka....i do not know how they do it..but the money lands immediately you sell but you cannot withdraw it till after 2 or 3 days...T+2...settlement. I think the same thing happens in NSE... |

OakPearl: Welcome onboard . what was your entry price? My exit is $100 and above. I believe the jolly ride will continue far into the year after the lockdown is over. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by abuhusna1: 1:05pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
seyisanya:Exactly reason I sold all my stocks on bamboo and not going back cos you can't reinvest your money immediately after sales until after two days. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by abuhusna1: 1:07pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
Has anyone ever used trove to buy local stock. How reliable are they cos they don't give cscs number so how do I trace my stock or get my dividends as I am thinking of converting my dollars to naira and buying local stock from them for the first time instead of sending the money back to my account and back to my local broker. Please share your experience if you have done business on local stock with them 1 Like |

gamaliel9: Oh, okay bro. So technically, it is the same with Bamboo in some way. I am more interested in long term investments (Vanguard etfs) and then I buy a mix of other good dividend paying stocks for mid/cap appreciation. Since I am still learning, I do not want to day trade so Bamboo suits me. I think their exchanges are slightly lower than the rest. Not sure cos it changes. 1 Like |

Tabuse20:This has got nothing to do with day trading. With time, you'll understand. It just makes no sense! |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by seyisanya(m): 1:44pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
Tabuse20:Can you please share their most recent exchange rates? Rates on other platforms vary as well. |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by seyisanya(m): 1:48pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
abuhusna1:Tomi already responded to my cscs worries on the previous page. Regarding dividend, I can't say. But I guess it might be the same as Chaka because you don't need to do anything to get your local dividend pay-out on Chaka. Trove will most likely have a similar arrangement. 2 Likes |

seyisanya: I see what you mean. All the 3 apps have their strengths and weaknesses. Just like how we have different brokers for our own stock. I use Morgan cap for local stocks mostly based on recommendations I got from the other thread and I have not regretted. For US stocks, yes, for now, I like Bamboo - prompt customer service, good user experience, and good rates. This has been my own experience. Yes, not yet perfect, but I think all of them are growing. The competition favours us the end users, so why would I not change if I experience challenges?. I think Chaka and Bamboo even use the same US intermidary - DriveWealth LLC. Correct me if am wrong. It suits me for now, when it does not, i will change. No one likes to loose money 3 Likes |

Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Tabuse20: 2:57pm On Apr 19, 2020 |
thetelz: As at today, it's N420.16 to convert to dollars.i.e deposit. I don't know how much for selling, don't know how to check unless am selling . Rates fluctuate though. This is for Bamboo. |
