Citytrend: Nigerian airforce is very poor. Lives of soldiers have wasted due to inadequacy of the air force. Plus the fact that you cannot order for fighter jets anywhere in the World and get them the next day. It's not possible, it takes four to five years. That's why serious countries that are not in state of war place order for as large as 100 fighter jets in peace time because it will not be easy in war time. E.g Egypt place order for 24 rafale jets, Turkey place order for 100 f35 jets. These are newest fighter jets. More reasons why we will continue to blame past leaders. The alpher jets Nigeria is using is no longer available, no country is using it consequently no availability of spare parts for maintenance. That aircraft called propeller is what Nigeria can get and unfortunately, it should be the most modern in Nigerian air force fleets. 1 Like |

kozmokaz: These propeller multirole aircrafts are ideal when engaging an enemy without air capability . They are slow enough to be used as low-level bombers targeting infantry. They also have far longer flight endurance because of lowered fuel consumption. They are ideal for recon missions and can carry virtually all modern munitions and bombs. Brazilian airforce uses this aircraft. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

kozmokaz: If you dont know you keep shut. Turbo -prop aircraft are not extinct. Nigeria needed a slow, manned, steady platform to deliver precision weapons and this aircraft is the best in.that role. The US Airfoece is using it for the same purpose we are buying it. Brazil, Afghanistan and Mali are using it. Propeller aircraft have flight dynamics that fit certain operations. Some of the best UAVs now are propeller driven. |
