What do you expect from Justice Mary Odili.... Wife of former PDP governor!
The Electoral system is in total mess.
The people vote are upturn by court.
But really, APC screening committee goofed big time by failing to spot a certificate forger.
Oshiomole should resign and those that participate in the screening committee should be shot dead

I knew that protesting would be a big business now in bayelsa. The question is how much because for sure the security agencies would be behind them, so no fear for stray or aimed bullets.

The supreme court has passed the verdict. Embrace it and move on.

If the like they should stab their chest Sir. The incoming governor MUST be sworn in.

I may be in total support of APC as a party to take over Bayelsa state but I can't support a candidate who Forged his credentials to manipulate to system and the entire Bayelsians.
The deputy should by now behind the bar because he indirectly call education wasting of time and money.

kahal29:
Thousands of women took to the streets blocking major roads to protest the judgement insisting that no handover of power would be conducted in the state without Lyon.

The protests rocked different parts of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, following the Supreme Court’s judgement that stopped the inauguration of Chief David Lyon as the governor of the state.

Riots commenced in the state on Thursday night after the judgement as youths blocked popular roads in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The youths, who sang in solidarity displaying the flags of the All Progressives Congress (APC), refused to vacate the roads leaving motorists and commuters stranded.

One of the commuters, who spoke in confidence, said she ran into the obstacle created by the rioters describing her experience as terrible.

She said: “It was a terrible experience when I ran into them. They refused to vacate the major road. There was no vehicular movement of any sort. People were forced to return to their homes”.

It was learnt that the protesters made bonfires to cover the dual carriageways as they remained there till after midnight.

On Friday morning, the palpable tension that enveloped the capital city forced many people to remain indoors.

Many stranded as APC supporters set bonfire on Kiama Bridge

Hundreds of travellers including police and military personnel are currently stranded at the Kiama Bridge end of the East-West Road.

The protesters with the flag of the All Progressives Congress, APC numbering over a hundred, are protesting the ruling of the Supreme Court nullifying the election of David Lyon as the governor-elect of the state.
.
At about 10:20a.m when Vanguard visited the scene of the protest, vehicular movement on either side of the road had been grounded while a long stretch of traffic gridlock had emerged on both sides of the East-West road.

The protesters most of whom are youths, said they are ready for any showdown with security operatives who were seen helplessly staring at the protesters.

Protest from now till eternity, the rule of law stands, that's the beauty of democracy...I am not a supporter of the PDP anyway.

Their anger is justified and understandable considering that Lyon was the one they voted massively for until the Supreme Court made its pronouncement. They will just have to adjust and accept the new reality and move on. undecided
That's just it. I am an APC member but we must obey the Supreme Court.

I'm sorry but protesters should face Oshiomole for this one, he is the one who messed up. there is nothing worse than losing a court case, an election or a battle on a technicality because you didnt do your own homework.

This is like knowing people want to lynch you and then you drench yourself with petrol!
