This thread is not necessary. Supreme Court Justices come and go. The apex court have their replacement mechanisms. We should allow the system function and not make news where there is none. Idris Kutigi, Aloma Mukhtar, Katsina-Alu, Lawal Uwais were all Chief Justices of the apex court; they did not attract controversy. In fact, there was a time Justice Salami was more famous than all the Supreme Court Justices, because the Appeal Court was sacking fraudulently elected governors.

Let them do their work and let them retire in peace. We should push for a reform of the Judiciary because certain cases should never reach the Supreme Court.

Justice Nweze better not die or commit an infraction that will rubbish his reputation and he will become a CJN later

Mary Odili was still at the appeal court when the Supreme Court gave judgement in the case of Amaechi vs Omehia. Mary Odili was elevated to the Supreme Court by Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 in a padipadi arrangement. It is also interesting to note that the appeal court at the time dismissed Amaechi’s case before he eventually got justice at the Supreme Court.
