Mary Odili was still at the appeal court when the Supreme Court gave judgement in the case of Amaechi vs Omehia. Mary Odili was elevated to the Supreme Court by Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 in a padipadi arrangement. It is also interesting to note that the appeal court at the time dismissed Amaechi’s case before he eventually got justice at the Supreme Court.
And what happen to the Supreme court ruling of the said Amaechi vs Omehia, you termed he eventually got justice at the Supreme court now my question is , what happen to the judgement aftermath, can it be reference in the court of records any where in Nigeria, having got judgement....you people will not kill us in this country

The judiciary, Supreme court as well as other sectors have all been destroyed by Nigeria shameless & satanic politicians. Majority of Nigerians no longer believe in any of the Nigeria judges because most of them are bribe collectors.

And they'll all be nepotistically, ethnocentrically, tribalistically, and parochially replaced by Bubu Kyari

That case was able to establish that political parties cannot change the candidates that emerged during party primaries once the candidates names are submitted to INEC. Without that particular judgement, political parties would have thrown internal party democracy and orderly conduct of primaries to the dogs a long time ago.

Point of correction sir, the supreme court sacked Omeha in 2007, Justice Mary Odili was appointed a justice of the supreme court in 2011.

The rumour that Odili is a PDP judge is hogwash, baseless and shameful. Only desperate politicians who wants to have their way at all times regardless of what is right would peddle such lie.

I did not comment saying she was corrupt... That fact is that the husband was a top pdp man at the time she was top at appeal and Supreme was just a stretch away.

Amongst all the SC, he started as a SC judge earlier than they did. He started in 2007. Whereas others started after 2007. So apparently his the most senior based on experience. But SC judges only retire by age (70 years). Other following five judges would clock 70 before him, even though Tanko started as SC judge before them. So do you understand now?

OK so this retirement is by age.

I am neither an APC nor PDP fan and don't give a damn with both.

However, I don't follow mass mind hypnotization. I mentioned three states where the supreme court either outrightly denied APC from fielding candidates or handed over APC's victory to PDP under the same CJN you are accusing. This happened despite high courts and court of appeals either validated APC primary or victory but supreme court overturned it and gave it to PDP; this has never happened before in Nigeria governorship elections. You are talking as if Imo State is more strategic than River and Bayelsa states (first and second oil producing states) and Zamfara.

You lied (on the bolded).

In Zamfara, INEC maintained all along that APC did conduct primaries.
The Federal High Court Abuja, Federal Appeal Court Sokoto and finally Supreme Court all agreed with INEC
that APC did not conduct primaries.

In Rivers state, all the lower courts ruled against APC. The Supreme Court did same.

In Bayelsa, see, forget Bayelsa. The APC in Bayelsa have since realised that they made a silly mistake.
The deputy governorship candidate's certificate forgery is well known in the state even before
the Federal High Court in Yenagoa pronounced it.

There will be a big stain on the judiciary if the Supreme Court fails to correct that IMO ruling

APC also won at both high and appeal courts. I won't call you a liar

Regarding Imo State, the returning officer ought not to have declared Emeka as the winner, because he didn't meet up the 2/3 constitutional requirements. Why ain't you talking about that requirements? All the reviews WILL be exercise in futility. I am more than sure supreme court won't change its verdict otherwise, litigation will never end

Mary odili has always been seen as a pdp judge which in the real sense of morality may never be so. Cos Peter odile fell out with amechi yet Mary couldn't influence Celestine omeha victory over Amechi at the supreme court.

Mary Odili may be corrupt though but not everybody can be bribed.

Bros abeg get your facts right before posting.

Mary Odili was evelated to the supreme Court bench in 2011. The Amaechi and Omehia case was in 2007. Mary Odili was a high court judge then and had no influence.
