Guys, do tell me your views on Mediatek Helio p22 processor? Do you think it is good enough for the budget devices?

there are quite a lot phones with helio p22 chip by mediatek which are selling in Nigeria and people are liking them too. Not because its delivering something phenomenal but because there's not too much difference when it comes to performance of phones with other chips. I remember one of my cuz has an Infinix phone with this processor and it functions just fine

The P22 is a mid range chipset and its available on many smartphones. Brands that use this chipsets a lot are like tecno, infinix, itel etc

Helio p22 is good to some extent. I wonder why xioami and Samsung fans insult MTK phone users on nairaland.

Even Samsung a10s, Nokia 3.1 plus and redmi 6 as well as as many LG, VIVO and REALME phones use helio p22 just like tecno and infinix

The fact Tecno and infinix recycle the chipset in both their high and lowend devices year after year doesn't make it a mid-range chip not to talk of a good one

It's a good chipset for an ordinary user, if you're a phone gamer it won't be sufficient.

The Snapdragon 600 series are the midrangers for Snapdragon. Do you even know that the MediaTek helio p60 opens apps faster than the Snapdragon 636?

They are already facts. You should check it out yourself on the internet so that next time you will be very sure of what you would tell someone. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon is better at processing images because of its dedicated camera/image module but there's something new with the helio p60 from MediaTek

Do you read at all? I said "for mediaTek" meanwhile, go check the benchmark on the internet. That's above "Average". Compare the performance of Xiaomi Redmi note 8 pro with some other phones you say uses some high end processors

Even for mediatek it's still mid-range. G90t is as powerful as sd600/700 series which are all mid-range

Have you checked the benchmark yet? The helio p60 is even faster than most of the SD600 series and its ranked lower than the G90T.
Though what's on paper (benchmark rankings) is not usually doing to be taken by what's written. E.g Nokia X5 (5.1 plus) opens apps faster than the Xiaomi note 7 but the processor on the Xiaomi note 7 has higher benchmark scores
