Who told u people were not burnt on the stake for committing crimes? People were executed by firing squad, lethal injection, electricution and other terrible means of execution. Why do you think you need spiritual growth? According to the Bible, you need to be saved before you can be alive spiritually. That salvation can only come when you believe in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made on the cross. If I were a neutralist, I'd ask, why do I need to be saved? What did Jesus Christ save me from?
