I have seen the debilitating and gruesome poverty in parts of the north 1st hand.

Nigeria is the World's Poverty capital cos of the north, esp the NW and NE.

The statistics for povertypoverty in most of the south is within middle income country range( 10-25%), whereas the Northwest has a ppverty rate of over 80%!!!!

Same goes for Illiteracy rate, severe hunger rate, infant mortality rate, drug abuse rate, etc etc. In fact, but for the north, Nigeria's himan indices would certainly not have put her amongst the worst performing in the world.

Anybody that tells you otherwise is deceiving you. BIG TIME

Grew up in Lagos yet has a world view of the whole of Nigeria thanks to his internet access and nairaland moniker plus his comfortable cushion where he can seat and make insinuations about people and places. Yet if I do so it I'll be called a bigot, hater, zombie, slave among others.
By the way which part of Nigeria has something to write home about. We are all in the same boat but some people have made it their job to drag everything and everyone down with them. Some days ago a thread popped up of a community in the south west where the people don't have drinking water and drink from a muddy river some days earlier it was a thread of a popular south eastern city with people living in their own filth some time ago it was the north taking heat for almajiris and gross underdevelopment. Yet some people think they are on some pedestal that makes them Lord of opinions and thus they can type when in reality na all of us dey the same loongo. North, south, center, everybody is the same
