Minister of Humanitarian affairs and Disaster Management, diverts 15 billion Naira N-POWER Stipends.

The minister has been alleged to have diverted the monthly stipends meant for the payment of Npower volunteers to her personal account in order to accumulate some interest overtime in the bank, this has made it impossible for Npower volunteers to access their monthly allowance for the past two months.

You will recall that Hajiya Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, the minister of Finance, Budget & National Planning]" in a news briefing confirmed that she has long ago release funds meant to settle stipends for the month of February, 2020 for N-Power Beneficiaries.

The said funds, amounting to 15 billion naira was released in February to Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development

It's alleged that, the Heads of the "Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development" has diverted the said "N15,000,000,000.00 [Fifteen Billion Naira] into a Nigerian commercial Bank, at 2% fix deposit for 21 banking days, to accrue a whooping "N300,000,000.00 [Three Hundred Million Naira] profit to self.

As it stands now, The fate of Npower volunteers is in the hands of Sadiya Farouk, the volunteers will have to adapt with the new situation till whenever she decide to pay them.

I don't believe this story for the simple reason that the arithmetic is wrong.
2% of N15billion for 21days is less than N18million.
Don't be gullible. Is this not the woman rumoured to be engaged to GMB? Seems her enemy is still on the prowl.

Can you imagine this flagrant abuse of power, position, and office?

Let's hope it's some fake news.

OP add your source.

But this is what happens in all the ministries and parastatals whether state or federal.

Moreso, Apc loyalists do not see any continuity for APC after buhari leaves office, so everyone wants to cash out fast.
