A lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Dr. Akintola, has died. The late Dr Akintola, until her death, was a lecturer, Department of Quantity Surveying at the university.

Besides Dr Victoria Adeniyi who died on Sunday , December 2019 , also Dr. Nicholas Igbokwe, who was found dead in the early hours of Saturday, December 7 2019, the university had also lost Prof. Jerome Elusiyan on Friday, December 13 , 2019.

Reports reaching us revealed that she gave birth to a set of twins last week and she has been having health challenges since then before she eventually kicked the bucket yesterday 24th of February, 2020.

The HOD Quantity Surveying already released a statement to confirm her departure.

The news is so disheartening and we at Inside OAU Media pray God would grant the university community and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.

It is better for a new born baby to die leaving the mother than for the mother to die leaving the new born baby. Most children that are not nurtured with the breast milk of their mother are wicked. The early motherly love that they fail to receive always reflect in their relationship with others. Very sad story indeed. Rip.
