I have a tenant who moved in on the 1st of this month. on the first night in the house, around 1am, i was aroused by what seems to be a wailing, only to hear my new tenant praying very loudly and noisely till 4am. thinking that he was praying because it was his first night in the new house i let the matter lie. the next night he repeated the 'disturbance'. i approached him in the morning telling him of the discomfort we are suffering in the compound. he said that the enemies plan and plots their attack at 1am and that is why he is always on the watch at that hour... the man has continued disturbing the peace of all in the compound for the past 3weeks! point is i have a banker, a business woman and other tenants in that compound who must leave for their various businesses before 6am, how should i handle him without being label a demon by people?

I do pray at nights too. But I put people around me into consideration. Reason with him again and let him realize your discomfort

Op take this advise with utmost expediency and alacrity, nobody has the monopoly of being a nuisance to others. Na him know how come the god he prays to is so deaf that he won't hear his prayers except he shouts on top of his voices at that odd hour.

You can only mobilize other tenants to join in the move to stop such nuisance but in the case where majority also feel it's normal then you have to take your leave.
