Ladipo Market Traders Aid Us To Steal Vehicles – Suspect by arinze198(m): 2:49pm On Mar 05, 2020
The arrest of a 20-year old suspect, Yusuf Adesanya, has revealed that some traders at the popular Ladipo Motor Spare Parts Market, Mushin area of Lagos, actually aid criminals to steal vehicles from owners which they in turn buy from robbers.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Adesanya, was apprehended by the residents of Ikorodu, where he went to steal motor spare parts before he ran of luck.
He was caught and handed over to Police operatives at Owotu Division led by CSP Margret Okonkwo, where he reportedly made some revelations and mentioned Ladipo traders.

Before Adesanya was whisked away from where he was apprehended, he said that he is a native of Ogun State, lives at Agbede area of Ikorodu, Lagos and moves around to steal vehicles and spare parts, which he supplies to his accomplices at Ladipo Market.

The suspect was caught along Miki Miki Bus Stop, Igbolomu, while trying to remove a vehicle in the park. He had already succeeded in removing the brain box of a Toyota Corolla and some vehicle central locks and then attempted to steal a vehicle before he was caught.

When interrogated, the suspect, Adesanya, admitted and revealed further that he had been in the business of stealing for two years now and had been selling the stolen brain box to one Okey ‘m’ at Ladipo Market.

Police sources said that Okey was traced to Ladipo Market and he was said to have narrowly escaped and now at large.

When P.M.EXPRESS reporter visited the Police Station, the suspect, Adesanya, was seen detained but the DPO was said to have gone to the State Command at Ikeja for briefing.

However, sources at the station confirmed the arrest and said that the Police recovered all the exhibits and the suspect will be charged to Court while efforts are being made to arrest his accomplice at Ladipo Market.

Some of the residents, who saw what happened, commended the Police for responding promptly to arrest the suspect and said his revelations will assist the Police to curb the inference of vandalisation of vehicles and car theft in Ikorodu and its environs.

Sure.

80% of fairly used car parts sold there are stolen.

They even have a warehouse there were they cannibalise cars. Any stolen car that makes it there is gone for life.

Most of them do the cannibalization outside the market now due to much awareness about the trade.

This people are professional criminal and should be given the highest punishment possible for their crime

Imagine parking your vehicle and in minutes the brain box has disappear or the whole vehicle sef

The traders should even be given longer jail terms because someone that's not importing nor manufacturing spare part is bringing it for you and you are buying ...at cheaper price of cause

If Traders do not buy stolen parts, the business will become less attractive to the thieves.

He looks too "intact" and fresh for my liking, see how his face is still smooth.

I'm dissapointed at whoever caught him first. something should have been done about his face before they handled him to the police.

Dem no try at all.

And to the guy that said "100% Ladipo traders are igbos"
I want to let you know that 100% car part thieves are Yorubas

Terrible situation... The force should lay an ambush on those crooks at Ladipo and every other area within the metropolis that sells car part. They are the main culprit behind the theft. Those crooks has a ready market for every of their evil deeds. It’s high time the buyers pays for their evil deed.
