This tradition is outdated. Any leader claiming to be a modern day saviour should drop practices that repeatedly create untold hardship to longsuffering members of the public who cannot enjoy basic amenities like uninterrupted electricity, primary healthcare and peaceful lifestyle.

Imagine the state of a stranded mother and helpless father whose only son requires urgent medical attention in a country where ambulances don't exist.
Most people don't recognise the overall cost to the nation each time the President operates in this outdated tradition. Is this Leadership?
