The Aba I know before Ikpeazu has tremendously improved though there's still room for more. I can count several roads that were not motorable which are now okay. MCC, UKAEGBU, OCHEFU, OSUSU, OVOM, EHERE, and many more. No single government can finish all there is to be done in Aba. Make una stop to dey recycle these old pics abeg |

CsRockefeller: Of course you should know it's a hatchet job! The OP belied his true intentions and displayed his bile towards Ndigbo in his second post! Whenever a Igbo (could be Abaribe, Mazi Kanu, etc) calls them out on their bigotry, greed, divisiveness, hate and anti-Igbo agenda, they go and pull out the 'Aba card' (either that or the 'Ojukwu card'): one of them creates another thread on the city, and then the rest of them fall over themselves as they storm in to get their anti-Igbo rant and abuse in ASAP! Works like clock-work everytime! You'd have thought the way they abuse Ndigbo over Aba (whose useless governor rigged himself in for a second term in office), that their own cities and regions would be El-Dorado by now! 1 Like |

Ebidosia: I suspect many of the pics they post to bash Aba are old ones! But this is where the docile Aba youths on social media need to be proactive....they should ask the uploader of the pics to tell them where in Aba they were taken, and then if indeed the roads have been fixed and the pics are not a true reflection of what's currently on ground, they can burst the uploaders bubble by posting the more recent ones they took. Simple! 1 Like |

They should keep blaming Buhari for the sins of their leaders. Instead of them to start voting in credible candidates they will be doing politics of hate. What do you expect from a man that knows you won't reject him because he is from the "chosen" Party and not from the "fulani" party?? Una never see anything. Make una continue to dey collect kerosene. Next time na nose mask dem go give una because of the odour |

[Don't mind those people proud and foolish. We can now see how they have developed their Place. quote author=Mightymanna post=87244854] They need to start asking questions to their leaders This is where we need a real development but the developers would not listen they will rather occupy themselves with 'developing' Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Shanghai and Malaysia while the East will be left to rot away from Ritualist, Kidnappers, Baby Factory, Drug Trafficking, Cultism, decayed infrastructure, out migration of young people, gully erosion that is threatening the sustainability of the entire East, incompetent Governors etc all these are some of the social and environmental issues that they need to give urgent attention, but they will rather blame Almajiris for all their downfall[/quote] |

Abia state and indeed the SE has not been fortunate to have visionary leaders since the advent of democracy in 1999. This is largely due to the migration of the best brains and able young people out of the region in search of better opportunities in the diaspora therefore leaving the states to few individuals who have taken and control political sentiments in the states. Secondly, the electoral system has also made it difficult for the few visionary ones to win elections. Abia state is a typical example of bad leadership succession starting from Orji Uzor Kalu to the present day leadership. Today where is OUK? Imo state, a sister state to Abia was almost getting it right in the last election, considering the preparedness of Ihedioha for the job and the profile of the major contenders, unfortunate the process was truncated. Until the indigenes, home and abroad task this set of leadership, no meaningful development will be achieved in the SE |
