this thread makes no sense bro. Nigeria as a political entity has not and will not help anybody, rather its a great burden on the so called federating units, especially the southern part.

There's nothing Nigeria did for any section of the country which if left alone they couldn't have done for themselves.
You could have made more sense if you asked what ibos have done for Nigeria, or themselves.

You want to bring insults for the igbos. What does Nigeria owes the Igbos that it doesn’t owe to the other 250+ tribes that makes up this country ?

You are allowed to flourish without hindrance in virtually every part of the country including your crimes, something that wouldn’t the allowed if you are not Nigerians

You know, i actually agree with the assertion in your first paragraph! Problem is, some sections/ethnicities in Nigeria don’t have that same confidence in themselves, and this is why they cling on to ‘one Nigeria’ like their lives depend on it!

Your second paragraph makes no sense because if you posit Nigeria hasn’t gained anything from Ndigbo and Alaigbo (with Alaigbo i’m also including Igboland in the so called south-south) then why did they (Nigeria) fight a uncivil war to continue having the privilege of calling Ndigbo ‘compatriots’.....and why today do they fret, worry and go ape at the mention of IPOB, Mazi Kanu or secession!?

You mean the coup that was aborteed by Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, an Igbo man is the same coup Igbos are the architect?

You mean the same coup carried out by Kaduna Nzeogwu from South South, is the same coup Igbos are the architects?

How many more years will you people ignorantly peddle these lies?

What I wrote is pretty straightforward. It is more sensible to ask what ibos have done for Nigeria rather than what Nigeria has done for ibos. That would have given some people the opportunity to respond and educate us. I did not imply anything else.
Now, the question of why Nigeria fought a war to keep Biafra part of Nigeria is a totally different one. The former eastern region was not occupied by ibos alone.

I was expecting you to counter what I said with facts not cancelling out.

The cancelling out was obviously because you have nothing upstairs to counter my assertions.

Please kindly prove you are not empty upstairs by countering my motion with facts.

Okay here goes...

1. Free access to two huge markets; the North and the West, which they would not easily have accessed otherwise.

2. Cheaper agricuultural produce.

3. Economic resources spent on infrastructure development; from oil and non oil sectors.

4. Opportunity to have a say as part of the biggest economy in Africa; rather than as an insignificantly small landlocked nation similar in size to Lesotho or Swaziland.

5. Unhindered access to sea ports and major international airports.

6. Unhindered access to more extensive job opportunities which the Igbo region alone could never have handled.

I'll post others (and there are many) when I have time.

They did for Niger delta....13% derivation

They did for the north ; special almajiri schools

For the west, massive infrastural upliftment

Nd for the south east...? They gave them many road blocks nd police checkpoint ...lol
