What about men?

Researchers have now found evidence that women are not the only ones with a biological clock: that of men starts in the mid-thirties.

A French study carried out from 2002 to 2006, on 12,000 couples undergoing fertility treatment, indeed shows that the chances of pregnancy begin to weaken from the age of 35 years. This probability becomes much lower when the man exceeds 40 years. Moreover, previous studies had shown that natural reproduction than assisted were more difficult when the man was over 40 years old. It is likely, in fact, that DNA defects in the sperm are responsible.
