Can Obasanjo Dare To Walk: by penfold(m): 3:22pm On Jun 04, 2007 |
Yeah mates, now that he is out of power, with all his talk that nigerians will be grateful to him after his tenure, do u think Obasanjo can dare to walk down awolowo avenue in ikoyi unescorted (an area that is relatively tout free and 65% corporate and responsible)without being lynched, in fact which member of his government can dare test their popularity and acceptability that way, |

What gave you this impression? He's killed somebody's father or mother? Or snatched somebody's wife? I don't know how some of you reason. People in those areas you mentioned would even be clamouring to see him. Will you lynch him if you see him? |

i think obasanjo just wasted 8 years of presidency. i dont think he could walk on the street alone for a very long time it'd be too dangerous for him |

All depends on where he walks lets not compare abeokuta and lagos with kano and bayelsa where the opposition hates him violently. If he walks unescorted in port harcourt where whites are kidnapped everyday it is a different matter to walking around in abeokuta.Even lucky igbinedion who was stoned and abused by his own party members may have one or two places where he can still walk safely in benin. So we may be free to join the lynching at kano but dont venture thinking about that in ogun[you will be surprised at who the people prefer to lynch] |

Nigerians are generally very cowardly. I believe that OBJ will walk freely anywhere and anytime. Unfortunate as it may be, i'm afraid thats the truth. Nothing will happen to him and his. |

Sad as it may sound, the truth is that if after governing a country for eight years, the general consensus is that u are a failure, then, as the americans say,if it walks like a duck, squawks like a duck, looks like a duck, then, all indices of economic growth indicate that nigeria is no better off than it was in 1999,forget all the noise that frank makes, looking at the real and hard fact, the growth rate of our IGR, the GDP,and GNP, the quality of life of the common man in the street, the rate of growth of small and medium scale industries, the level of growth in the manufacturing sector, even the level of efficiency of the power sector, allthese point to the fact that obasanjo is an economic failure, let him dare walk alone and see the kind of questions nigerians will ask him, verbally and physically, PLS note.IT DID NOT TAKE GHANA EIGHT YEARS TO TURN AROUND THEIR ECONOMY AND STANDARD OF LIVING OF THE COMMON MAN, moral:-if u really have a sound and viable economic recovery plan,it will not take u ages to implement and mind u, the late BOLA IGE,when he was a minister could walk on the streets of ibadan, lagos and ilesha unmolested, capisce? |
