Why is there no more political music insulting our politicians. As Fela rightly indicated music is an effective weapon for conveying discontent. However our generation now makes, and listens to crap music. If Fela Kuti was alive, I believe he would be singing this version for Alao-Akala https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TDKaHENSbw&feature=related This song for all Nigerians https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfDIakTWYeA&feature=related e.t.c Such music is obsolete in Nigeria. Infact fela used to be a beacon to people all over the world as a symbol of protest. Now what we have is this, denigrating the image of Nigeria https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73XOUuUusew |

Fela music is very much alive,i listen to it almost everyday. It is a music of consciousness, just like the music of Bob Marley. Femi is another legend, risking all to speak the truth. |
