They negotiated with them na. There is no way you will negotiate with a Fulani man without knowing he is Fulani.

A great Okpanam son called me this morning, to intimate me about some nefarious activities around Nneme Iyi some days ago. A little call across our land revealed the following:
Fulani attack with the intent to kidnap around the aforementioned place.
Targets includes mother and children (origin unknown for now). Mother has a baby, who obviously is distraction to them. They let mother and baby off.
Took about 2 people with them, they later escaped with some injuries. Identities of the 2 people unknown
Fact of this matter, they're in Okpanam. What is our capacity to withstand any further onslaught?
Will appreciate further contributions on this burning matter.

Kiddnappers now have a free pass in naija cos once it's termed suspected herdsmen there won't be any investigation or apprehension

People should develop the habit of voice recording ransom negotiations to enable security forces or anyone analyse the tribe of kidnappers.

The voice recording can also be used in tracking the perpetrators.

It was kidnappers not herdsmen. This is irresponsible journalism.

We have kidnappers from Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani, Efik, Igala etc.

Why don't we see headlines like Yoruba kidnappers, Igbo kidnappers or Ibibio kidnappers did this and that.
