I don't understand how people manage to remain in this type of relationship. And the funny thing is a lot of girls go through this experience and it becomes the norm for them. Living lives with low self-esteem.

this is exactly what will happen, they have thingy for a bad guy who looks repentant and changed whereas he is doing that for selfish reasons. some girls can't have sense. Even if she eventually meets a good man to marry her, she will still have soft spots for this guy beating her and may continue to have sex with him.
