With the number of CONVID-19 cases in Nigeria risen to 51 according to @NCDCgov, some wealthy people here in Nigeria are helping with efforts to combat the outbreak and do what they can for the economy. The list and how they have contributed to fight the outbreak goes thus:

1. Jack Ma- @JackMa is a Chinese business magnate, investor and politician. He is the co founder and former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate.

He donated medical supplies which include 5.4 mill face masks, 1.08 mill detection tests, 40,000 sets of protective clothing and 60,000 sets of protective face shields. Right now the medical supplies that was moved from Lagos to Abuja generated lots of reactions from its citizen.

2. Runtown- Douglas Jack Agu, better known by his stage name @iRuntown, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer.

In a bid to ensure everyone is staying safe in this tough times, @iRuntown via his Twitter handle gave out 10 million naira to about 500 people yesterday. The joy in those who got the
giveaways has no bound as they continually call on other people to show how genuine this is.

3. Shehu sanni- @ShehuSani is a Nigerian senator, an author, playwright and a human rights activist.

Senator shehu sanni has distributed protective items and foodstuffs to churches, mosques and correctional centers.

4. Atiku Abubakar- @atiku GCON is a Nigerian politician, businessman, philanthropist and presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party at the 2019 Nigerian general election.

@Atiku Abubakar has donated N50million as relief fund to support the Federal Government’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic in the country. He made this known in a press statement on March 25, 2020.

5. Aliko Dangote- @AlikoDangote GCON is a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist who is the founder and chairman of Dangote Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in Africa.

The @AlikoDangote Foundation on March 2, 2020 pledged a whooping sum of N200million to support current effort of the Nigerian government towards curbing the spread of Corona Virus in the country.

Is there any person I have missed?, feel free to add yours.

My major problem with Nigeria is that of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds... I just hope one director will not embezzle the money

Alibaba CEO Jack Ma donated testing kits for poor people, but currently the whole package is now being transferred to Abuja for big men like Amaechi , Buhari children and co to get tasted first before the poor people will be tasted.

America and other countries are managing their test kit for people who are showing symptoms, but the politicians of the most corrupt country in the world wants to cure themselves first before the poor masses.

Even for most of our leaders to bring out 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 percent from the looted funds they looted just as a form of goodwill to save people's lives in this critical period is still a problem. Mheen!

No Pastors?

Meanwhile Conspiracy Theorists are saying:

Jack Ma help Chinese Govt to use Africa as a dumping ground for their used equipment and clinical PPE which they didn't know where to dispose.

Such ingratitude or can it be true?

I've never read online where Abba Kyari donated anything to anybody, but if it's to be sharing virus upandan he will do it wholeheartedly... He should better complete the good job he has started in Aso Rock, Such generosity deserves an applause.

Where are The Oyedepos, Adeboyes, Indimi, Etc. Otedola has been donating in the past, if he should relax now, it’s understandable.

Pastors are only interested in their tithes and fuel for Private Jet. Chai when will my people have sense?? When?? When??

Even if the billionaires are to donate a Billion naira each, a penny won’t reach Nigerians account. It will all be shared at the top

Peruzzi and runtown did the giveaways, they were picking account numbers randomly and sending not less than 10k to each person so they can stock up a little they can

Actress Toyin abraham on the other hand was busy sending money to foodstuff retailers in different locations then directing Twitter users to them at least to get a little Rice, oil, noodles, garri, beans etc... to eat while staying indoors

She gave out hand sanitizers as well to people all over (especially south west) all these should worth millions of naira. This is the real slay queen not the ones bragging and taking pics in Dubai and london. She earned my respect from now onward
