Of course most ladies are brave enough to take the bull by the horn and ask you straight @ your face "WILL YOU MARRY ME"? Guys, you cant be dating that lady for many years and keep raising her hopes, thinking u think of her as a wife material or if u even have plans of ur future with her. When this eventually happens, then know that she just found out she is getting older. If I were the one, I would accept immediately. Remember, no one is going to be young forever. Some Nigerian ladies will rather prefer to form, and be lonely till they die than ask any man to marry them. Its because you are not a woman, that is why you don't know the gravity of those words. THAT is not new to me, I hear that almost every time i approach a girl for relationship after few weeks of the relationship the next thing is "Baby are we getting married" i will have to think fast to provide a suitable answer to that question But the truth is that not all relationship will lead to marriage, ladies have to put it on their head. |

It would be a game changer according to most of the cultures around the world, but, yes, a woman can ask a man to marry her, why not! Let’s pretend to say not because; - It’s usually done by a man, and now you’re deviating from the norm. Don’t be scared though, you’ll be allright! -This is quite a harsh point to make but; the man in question is maybe not worthy of a marriage because he’s not asking, so why should you ask? I do believe that if you feel this man having sincere feelings, and you feel confident in yourself that you can help that man express his feelings. Do the groundwork! Let’s pretend to say YES because; *Hell yes, you’re an amazing woman who just likes to get what she wants. *Bleep standards. Screw culture too. *You’re going to make your life amazing, and doing this is your first step. *You have caught yourself a fine specimen of male species and would like to keep it. I don’t see why not . I have known of two women who have asked for their husband to marry them . And they did . So far they are both living happily ever after. Both couples had known each other and were very good friends. When they finally got together I think they have both stated that it was easy to decide to marry . As far as being proper I do not believe that it is improper to suggest or inquire about marriage . Generally it is not done in public . So I think I could not say it is not proper as it is usually an intimate time with just two people . You may be mixing improper with tradition Finally yes technically it is probably considered improper as women were trained to wait for a man to ask for their hand in marriage after he asked her father . Mini skirts were also considered improper at one time and still are in certain situations. That doesn’t mean there cannot be the exception to every rule. I have to add that most men do go after what they want in their own way . There are not that many men who would fall in love with someone and at the proper time and be to shy to find a way to ask a woman to marry them. Eventually they usually get around to it . The way they do it and when they do it realy depends upon their personality and view on dating and marriage . Traditonally a man had to find his way in the world and be able to support a woman and a family . He often was expected to own some property , land or a house and have established his career first . Then he would come back for the woman being prepared for marriage . They may be promised to each other but that is why the man would always be asking the woman to marry and not the reverse. At least that’s how it began . Woman had much work to do that is now taken care of more easily with modern life today . With our lifestyles today the rules can be bent out of tradition. Back then a woman even with servants was very busy with running a household , food, garden , children, and social standing. Today with electricity , and machines at home tradition is nice but not necessary . On a serious note, in all cases it depends on who you are as a personality, and who the man is. I strongly believe, anything in this world is possible, and rules are there to break. So if you feel that this is your moment to shine, don’t hesitate, and don’t have regrets. 1 Like |

If I had been planning to propose to her too, I’d say yes without any reservation and I’d defend her if any friend or family member says shît. However, if I’d been managing her and not looking forward to spending even just one month quarantined with her, I’d say no. If it were a public proposal, I could say yes then tell her to take it slow in private. But most women are so egoistic they won’t risk it. They’d rather wait 10 years for a proposal that won’t come. 1 Like |
