There is no reason to do that na

I believe the no. of people living with the virus is way higher than what the figure they have right now.

If they do as I said, they will have an insight into how fvcked the nation is.

We are treating all cases. The only death recorded is of someone who has underlining illness and has just returned from medical check up abroad. All other cases are being treated. Corona is in trouble. This is Nigeria, not USA or Italy or Germany where the coward Corona has been killing them like local chickens.

We are Nigerians, we are above diseases and death. We tamed Ebola, humiliated Lassa Fever, now we are burying the coward Corona once and for all. We Nigerians are the saviour of the World

Yes even South Africa with 709 cases is still 1

Listen, the fear of people is not necessarily the number of fatalities. It is the high possibility of spread. Now assuming as it is now virtually the case all confirmed cases are being treated, they are being treated because they are receiving attention. They are receiving attention because the number of confirmed cases is still small. Assuming for example you have 3,000 cases and as these 3,000 are being attended to another 1,000 are on the queue, and more and more. I bet you, in a matter of a week our healthcare system will be overwhelmed and when it is overwhelmed, what do you think will happen? This is the genuine concern of people not necessarily because it kills but because it has the capacity to spread speedily to a dizzying level such that the healthcare system can easily be overwhelmed.

For instance take a look at Italy's case as at today March 27th:

Italy reported 5,909 new cases and 919 new deaths. Highest number of new deaths since the beginning of the epidemic in Italy . 46 doctors have died to date (with 4 additional deaths today). 6,414 health workers have tested positive as of today.

The report speaks volumes. A situation where doctors and nurses are also being infected and become carrier agents and also subsequent victims is sure precarious. When the system needs more healthcare workers and the country is even losing some of the ones on hand! This is not like Ebola where you can reach out for help from other nations! Where? when the virus has spread to 199 countries and territories on Earth!

This is the fear, I mean the genuine concern of people everywhere. The US recorded over 16,000 confirmed cases only yesterday alone (26th). Go figure! They are now calling for graduating medical students to meet the current manpower needs. Meanwhile the trajectory has not peaked.

As at 2019 December, this virus was somewhere looking at the world with left eye, strategizing on how to hit us.

Now, should we still continue believing prophesies from men of gods?, cos I had been patiently waiting for CoronaVirus to end today, March 27th as assured by somebody. undecided

This virus have permeates across the length and breadth of this country. NCDC is just throwing out the numbers out slowing to avoid mass panic. We are done for, our govt is the true reflection of us. Like followers like leaders.
The bold is wrong.
Even if the government does nothing, 99 to 99.5% of infected will survive it.

And if the remaining 0.5% become fatalities, do you understand what that translates to in a population of 180 million conservatively?
Do the maths your self and then ponder on the result for a moment!

So Europe with strong health care system experienced geometric exponential growth of transmission, yet Nigeria with virtually nothing in place is still growing at this pace. Incredible!
We are simply not testing enough, thats why we are having these figures. The more test you do , the more probable cases you get.
Our death rate is also low so far

Same exact case with Italy just last month (February). It becomes a bloodbath almost overnight as it enters the exponential growth phase.

The infected are obviously more than these numbers... But then, we can only hope for divine intervention, else our population will be decimated by the rampaging virus.
