Nigeria will never break up! what we all see can be witnessed in every part of the country sparked by religious fanatics and tribalist, even people of same village have been known to have engaged in violence. The solution can come from a good leader.

My goodness!!!!!!!! See what they have done again, the sight of those pictures tore my heart to shreds. Unfortunately, we tried to warn you all of the mad men living with us, with a sick desire to 'dip the Quaran in the atlantic'. Then, it was mostly the Igbos under attack, so no one cared. Some laughed and ridiculed the fleeing Igbos, others sent their traditional rulers to tour the north and thank them for sparing their people in their progroms! Well, now they are no longer as selective as they used to be, their thirst for blood has led them to attack even those that joined them a few years ago to fight the Igbos. The truth is that every year since the end of the civil war, these marauders have found one flimsy excuse or another to attack christians in the north, and many shied away from the truth by dismissing it as tension between Igbos and their northern hosts.  Now, their true intentions are undeniable, as they've announced it for all to hear. As usual, their leaders feign ignorance and blame it on the extremist few. Be not deceived, they are all directly or indirectly involved, and even those with no involvement do not care to hide their indifference to the killing of christians in their territory. How many of them have you heard actively comdemning these atrocities and calling for justice against the perpetrators? Every now and then, some might suggest that it is unfortunate or even blame the government for its complicity. Never an apology or pledge to stop the madness( or even a pledge to attempt to do so). Mba! They are too busy doing their own part by threatening Goodluck Jonathan with fire and brimstone if he does not evacuate the office of the presidency.

Tufiakwa! Nigeria a tala ahuhu!!!!!!!!!!

Why are people telling the mod to remove the pictures? Pictures have a way of passing messages across than words. The media tells you about 20, one might relax thinking "well, it's not as bad as they say"(i know what i'm saying cos some people still don't believe something like this happens) but if someone should see the pix, he sees that the figures are actually being curbed.
I used to be an advocate of one nigeria but with what has been happening in jos, i don't mind if we split.

Even jonah jang said when you follow up their case, you find out that they're linked to someone with a high political post in nigeria and when they're captured, they are released. Even the governor don tire. If it was possible for him to come out publicly and cry that he doesn't know what to do, i'm sure he will.

Because of your false beliefs and devilish actions you have incurred insults on Islam and the noble prophet. May all your followers and wrongful sympathizers face the wrath of Allah and be completely destroyed.

No muslim should fool him or herself by condeming these deeds. No matter how you want to look at it, these jihadist are actualy practising true islam and the earlier drop religious sentiments and start seeking out facts based on what your koran reveals, the more your eyes will be opened to the true nature of what you call a religion. A lots of you people have been deeply hoodwinked into the islamic system that you have never even question your religon's philosophy for clarity, Islam is pure evil, forget about what your parents told you and the anti-truth defense mechanism implanted in your mind. Seek the true knowledge on what your religion actualy represents through an analysis of your holy book(s). allah explicity made what is required of you people clear so stop trying to make yourself looking like an exception to these cannibals, they are only being obedient.

I weighed the kind of heaven Christiany promises and that of Islam and even that alone tells so much, how can a god okays things he condems doing on earth in heaven. How can an Islam satan be symbolic with some stones in mecca which is regard as the holy land, a holy land that is satan's abode is quite puzzling.

MPAC Strongly Condemns Attacks in Jos and Maiduguri

Nigerians witnessed another bloody days of barbaric and gruesome murders when civilians became soft targets for murderers in both Jos and Maiduguri on Christmas eve. While the Jos blasts claimed 32 human lives and injured 74, Governor Ali Modu Sheriff and the Police Command in Borno claimed that the Maiduguri attacks, which claimed 6 people, including a pastor and a retired soldier and injured 25 at two churches, were perpetrated by the Boko Haram sect members.

These incessant acts of terrorism represent another low point for our nation. For more than two decades now, inter-religious tragedies seem to be occurring with depressing frequency as political leaders have failed time and time again to find the solutions to the underlying causes. Most Nigerians actually know that these root causes rest squarely with unscrupulous politicians who have absolutely no value for human lives and no scruples about damaging societal cohesion and peace.

As Muslims, it is important to reiterate unequivocally that the Christians are our brothers and sisters in humanity, co-citizens and most especially people of the covenant of the prophet of Islam (See A Forgotten Covenant below). Their lives and places of worship must be respected and protected from any violation as commanded by Islam. We therefore use these times of murderous attacks during their celebration to remind ourselves of the commonalities of our religious heritages, both of which hold the life of Jesus Christ (AS) to be an example for humanity. The Qur’an states "Behold! The angels said: 'O Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a word from Him. His name will be Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter and in the company of those nearest to God.'"

Anger, rage or urge for revenge cannot be a valid justification for ignoring the most basic principles of our religion and its core values of justice, mercy, human dignity, freedom, sanctity of human life and equality for all. As the Qur’an states in Chapter 5, verse 6: "And never let hatred of anyone lead you into the sin of deviating from justice." Attacking civilians, even during the time of war, or attacking Christian places of worship are clear deviation from the tenets of Islam, which upholds the sanctity of life and forbids crimes against humanity. When such crimes are attributed to people who claim to be Muslims, as Muslim ourselves we cannot be bystanders, we must be involved in constructive intervention at all levels of crime prevention and law enforcement.

We call on all decent Nigerians not to loose heart and to stay determined to work together across barriers of faith and ethnicity, to rid the nation of the scourge of terrorism and those incubating it. Islam does not tolerate the use of terrorism for any purpose, regardless of the identity of the aggressors or the nature of their motives. Furthermore, individual members of society are not allowed to take the law into their own hands and render punishment, regardless of whether a similar crime had been committed against the Muslims or not. The case of these latest victims can be viewed only as a horrible murders for which the perpetrators, whomever and wherever they are, should be hunted down and punished under the full extent of the law.

Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.

No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries

No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.

No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.

Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world)."

Why are you more interested in abusing the Prophet, or tarnishing his image. The Prophet died thousands of years ago but all you could do is to insult his personality for what happened thousands of years after him.
It is obvious that your aim is to take a swipe at Islam and not even the perpetrators of this evil. Muslims have condemned this action and have dissociated themselves from this action, Many Muslims have suffered and lost their lives either because of the direct impact of the bomb or the reprisal attack by angry christian non-hausa youths that killed more than twice as many people.

No sane Muslim is happy about this, we are all worried and sad about the development. And Islam definitely doesn't preach violence against christians.

the problem I have with muslims(both good and bad) is the way they like to be in denial of the fact that Islam is inherently violent, it can turn average devout muslim(both literate and illiterate) into a violent person filled with hate and intolerance. The ideology of the Quoran is deeply rooted in violent take overz and sense of ownership and duty to take up arms or be violent against non-muslims whom they call infidels. What we see today in Islam are misconceptions and miscarriages of those very vague teachings that always verges on intolerance and violent extremism. Until Islamic scholarz and leaderz learn to speak out and not just condemn it and wait to hear the next terror they inflict on people then every non-muslim will continue to see islam as a Violent religion that fills its followerz with bile and gall and give them justification to be terrorists of all sorts. Muslim leaders are the most culpable of the miscarriages of violent islamic ideology, they never teach their congregation how to be tolerant and peaceful, instead, they are fond of mixing their sermons with doses of politics and use what happens in the middle East as a yardstick for how every muslim must see non-muslims. Yet they are the ones that rush to condemn their acts while in another breath they encourage them, I mean is the volte-face a smokescreen of political correctnessg? Islam needs a departure from its current ideology if it must be seen as a peaceful religion. For now, it is the most violent, hateful, rebellious religion on Earth, that is a Fact!

Dis pple are not muslims, because d Quran says there is no compulsion in religion. Jihad does not mean killing. It means striving because of God. If greet or help your neighbour because of God, it is jihad, if you give alms to a begger, it is jihad.

I am a christian and I dont believe the bolded assertion you made above. Act of terrorism is condemmed no matter who is involved, but we shd be careful with our generalization. Religion, wether islam or christianity are capable of breeding violent. Statistics have it that religion has claim more innocent lifes than all the world wars killings put together. During the Roman catholic era, when it is forbidden to read translated bible or preach any gospel the papacy considered to be heretic. Great many innocent that hold such believes were put to death (burnt, hanged etc.). This type of violent is a legitimized and state masterminded. The papacy were christians, they read bible, but do we considered that the bible preach violent? No! Yet the likes of mytr Martin luther,  and others protestant were mass executed because they held different believes from the papacy. That's Religion for you. Christianity is not a religion, anyone who thinks it is has not read the bible enough. Christianity is a life of God in human person. While Religion is acts of men trying to reach God in their own ways, Christianity is God acts reaching men in his own ways. When you try to do the former, your breed violent, whether Islamic or christianic!.

I have lived in the north for all parts of my life. When I got to Kaduna, I was accomodated by a devout muslim, He housed me for a year, and fed  me for a year. I was not forced or even suggested to to become a muslim. I played my messages in their sitting room, they never complained or said anything. What we witnessing today is devil at work and the best we can do is to pray against it. God bless you all!
