You guys always clamour for and tend to believe facts cast at you from certain western media (especially when it degrade your country) but when it seems the media reel out good news about the forwardness of the economy and/or good policies, you still find an excuse to batter the government. Nigeria just need two things from its government; provision of world class infrastructural facilities, and a friendly business environment.

Let them leave the business part (aka day to day runnings of economic activities and provision of social amenities) alone to the citizens and muscled investors, while they sit back and regulate.

Nigerians will push the economy to the fore-front, and shock the world in no time.

The government would not do this though, since they will not be able to hold people's lives to ransom, and public servants will not be able to load money inside their stomachs grin

The question is are we ready to Sacrifice our freedom to get the meteorite Economic growth the Chinese achieved under Communism. I don't think Nigerians are ready for that yet.

You must get your acts right most importantly. First things first.

But presently Nigeria is not serious.
First is the leadership problem.
Present leadership is a very big problem.


Case study Singapore and Dubai/UAE are today outstanding successful nations economically today.

But it took the leadership prowess of Prime Minister Lue Kwan yew of Singapore over a period of 30 years

And sheikh Mohammed Al Maktouns father over 40 years period to make it a reality.

So first get the leadership right. But can we do that when we are so divided.
A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.

Obviously my kids would never see such because they will never be Nigerians. We have always heard these kinda stuff since we were kids and here we are adults still hearing stuffs like this that will occur in our old age. Haba, of what use is that. Don't we have the resources to even be on the top 10 list by now? The monies taken oversea by these useless politicians since time in memorial till date are being used by those countries to develop themselves. But here we are projecting to be top 20 in 30 years from now. Are we that cursed? How many more countries will our looted funds develop before 2050. And most of the countries our looted funds has developed will even pass us in the top 20 list by 2050.
