Amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a prominent theologian and U.S. Muslim scholar, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, on Wednesday, asserted that while Ramadan 2020 will be "worst-ever" for some, "others will work and strive" to make it their best.

Allnews reports that this year's Ramadan is due to start later this month, but with a third of the global population on coronavirus lockdown, Tarawīḥ (additional prayers performed by Muslims at night after the Isha prayer during the holy month of Ramadan), Iftar (mosque breaking of fast after sunset), Friday prayers and Eid (Festival of Breaking the Fast) will most likely be affected.
