Fire has gutted Maola Shopping Mall in the Ebute Ero Market at Idumota, Lagos State.



The cause of the fire, which affected shops 35 and 36 in the shopping mall, was unknown as of the time this report was filed.

The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said emergency responders had curtailed the fire, adding that no casualty was recorded.

Most probably because of the hurried closure due to the forced, unplanned lockdown,someone forgot to switch off an electrical appliance.
