I have always wondered; why is it God needs us to pray? Every holy book requires it follower to Pray to God, some more than other e.g Islam mandates it followers pray five times a day from the day they are born till the day they die, Christians are always talking about how much other Christians are slacking in the area of prayer.
The thing about this two religions is that they both agree that God know everything about us,(including what we are thinking in our mind), and if God can read our mind isn't it more efficient for the teaching of these religions to be; we should spray in our mind?
Praying with our thoughts frees up a lot of time and it is even more sincere, since most of the time what we usually say is different from what we do. Since this is not the case, is it that God is inefficient? If so, is it purposefully?
