Our numbers water low because we aren't testing people.

We also have a culture of not knowing the cause of death. 'Sudden deaths' or 'strange illnesses' are routinely blamed on villagers, witches, the devil, our mothers in law, etc.

nsiba:

Ugo Egbujo
Let's stay strong.

We are holding up well.

And this is why.

It's been 6 weeks since the Italian came with COVID.

6 weeks after Italy got their first case they had suffered 10,000 deaths.

We have just 7 dead.

In 6 weeks, Feb 26 - March -April, America went from about 50 cases to almost 500,000 cases.

We are just at 305.

Let me bring it into clearer focus.

On February 28 2020, we had one case. America had 60 confirmed cases.

Today we have 305 but America has about 500,000.

Okay let's use Untited kingdom that is about a third our population.

On February 8, Uk had 16 cases . We had one.

Today Uk has 70,000. We have 305.

We have no reason to panic.

God is on our side but we must not let him down.

Here is why we must not relax.

On February 27 We had one confirmed case and UAE had just 13. Both countries held up well. By March 31 UAE had 611 and we had about 131.

Today UAE of about 10 million people now has 3,360 but We have 305.

Let's be careful.

On March 6, 2020 Spain had just about 365 confirmed cases. Today they have 158,000 with about 15,800 dead.

We are doing well. But we have to keep our eyes on the ball.

Stay safe . God bless you.

Happy Easter

America has tested 2,538,888 people, Nigeria has only tested 5,000 people. That is the difference. We need to seriously start testing.

Their is a scam going on the Nigeria about this Covid

The trend is not realistic and consistent.

Its either they are treating malaria and calling it Covid, or they just using numbers to scam.

Well, no need deceiving yourselves any further... Let's just all conclusively agree that Anambra currently has not less than 10 to 30 infected persons....and counting!!! undecided

Emphasis on "counting"!!!.... Tick tock!

This covid 19 pandemic issue in Nigeria is not clear to me
1)Why is it that politician are the ones bringing out the figures? At least we should be briefed by a well known doctor on what they are going through, the dangers health workers are passing through in attending to this large numbers of allegedly infected people,And what they need in order to perform their duties.
2)Why is it that no single clip or pics of this covid-19 patients on sick beds or ICU beds has surfaced on the media space in Nigeria, the way we see it on CNN and other foreign media instead of showing us chats of yellow green and red.
3)Where are the dead covid-19 patients buried? And. Why don't they show their remains been moved from the hospital like we see in other countries that really have this covid-19.
4)Why do some states have the same figure of infected people for more than a week now?does it mean that the first case didn't interact with anyone at all.?
5)Why haven't we heard of a single health worker been infected yet in Nigeria with our weak health care system and insufficient protective kits,or is it not the health workers taking care of the large figures of infected people?

1.The NCDC headed by Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu are the ones bringing out the figures.

2. There are videos of patients online and discharged patients have told their stories.

3. That one I'm not sure about.

4. They aren't testing enough people or are waiting for symptoms to manifest before testing and treatment.

5. Dr Aliyu Yakubu has died and The Chief Medical Director at the University College Hospital Professor Jesse Otegbayo, has recovered from coronavirus

Before coronavirus, Nigerians were dying like chickens. Even at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (Former BMH), the daily count there was mad. Without testing, people will not know the gravity of things.

Firstly punch is not a newspaper but a propaganda machine full of lies.

As reported by Vanguard

Coronavirus: Fresh facts emerge on Anambra’s index case

FRESH facts have emerged that the COVID-19 index case discovered in Anambra State on Friday actually visited the two major cities of Awka and Onitsha before traveling to his home town, Adazi in Anaocha local government area and was admitted at St Joseph’s Hospital in the town.

“The case was first treated as a mild malaria unknowingly at Regina-Caeli Hospital, Awka. He left and later traveled to Onitsha, before returning to Adazi-Nnukwu hospital where it was finally suspected to be Covic-19, after exhibiting the symptoms. “Result came in and it was positive,” Sunday Vanguard was told yesterday.

Our source could not confirm if the index case visited any hospital in Onitsha, or other places he visited in the city before returning to Adazi.

Secondly Nigeria Police men are bunch of disgrace to security system. Entrust your life to them and die early. Collecting bribe has made them inefficient in everything.

Thirdly, If truly the index case has disappeared. Security should shoot him at sight anywhere he is seen. I hate people exhibiting wicked attitudes. Are you running to spread it to people instead of moving in to be handled effectively and save other lives.

Shoot at sight? shocked

This is because the human heart is just wicked. Heard he left from Lagos to Anambra. If you feel any symptom at all, it's right that you sit the hell at home and place calls. Saves those around.

May God help us all

“After the result was made known, the patient disappeared”, a source told our correspondent.

Disappeared? what an unprofessional language. 9ja govt officials should be willing to take responsibility in times like this.

You guys lost the patient...it is simple. What do you mean by "the patient disappeared". Too much Nollywood movies no go kill us 4 D's country.

I do not know why but I am not a public health worker, although I should have made a complaint to the Public health office in the Rivers State Ministry of Health.

However, I believe if a survey is made on the amount of daily death in Nigeria, many will shiver. That is, those dying of "just a brief illness".

I think when we take a survey from all public hospitals, we will sit up with addressing public health standards in the country. You can imagine during a pandemic, we are still not carrying out tests to determine the severity.

This is the fruit of corruption, we have closed all boarder but police and army are collecting 5000 and passing people now that they have collected 5000 and allow the same virus to pass. Anambra state government will spend millions searching for the same virus. What is wrong with this country.
