i dont believe this though. match fixing is a complex conspiracy that would involve number of persons including players. if it were actually true, the info would have been out long before now

westerhof was a good coach who loved the game and love Nigeria. he produced one of the most formidable team in the history on Nigerian football (Tunisia/USA 94 squad). no team has surpassed that team since then for the past 25 yrs in terms of quality and coordinated Nigerian system of football. and that team was the brain child/project of westerhof.

To me, the '94 and '96 Super Eagles are still the best Nigerian side so far. I wonder why Westerhof and Bonfere Jo are beefing each other. The two coaches did very well for Nigeria.

Although that was one of the most painful matches I experienced, I don't think Westerhof sold that match.

The memory of that match is still very clear in my memory. Amuneke scored from a corner kick. We later conceded two late penalties. That day I couldn't eat. That was when I still believed Super Eagles. But now I don't give a damn about them. I no wan get heartbreak and heart attack at thirty-something
