WHY DON'T WE COPY SOUTH KOREA THAT HAS CLEARLY HAD THE MOST SUCCESS IN DEALING WITH THIS VIRUS (WITHOUT LOCKDOWN) INSTEAD OF COPYING THE WEST THAT IS BEING DECIMATED BY THE VIRUS AND INTERNAL POLITICS?

Do you know that a large number of people in that same South Korea, who tested positive and later negative after quarantined - are now positive again?

Then imagine the case of Nigeria naa that has only tested 5k ppl out of 200 million.

Is it not better to know this things than to keep acting like our numbers are low when we’re not testing enough.

It’s like you really believe there are only 300 positive patients in Nigeria

Sometime I try to ask myself questions like how long will this lockdown period last? I am sure they will keep extending it until there is a possible solution to this Coronavirus issue.

The WHO said yesterday that this pandemic will likely continue till a vaccine is available. That means a years time (january to march 2021).

Meanwhile the only way to reduce the cases to a manageable number to enable any form of economic activity is to massively test for Covid 19 which Nigeria is not doing now. So our lockdown will be far longer than most other countries, the shortest being China, 6 weeks. And since we are not making it nationwide and absolute I cannot see the incidences of cases fall anytime soon.

In two weeks there will be more cases and more folks in hospital and the NCDC will force the President to extend yet again. And since this goverment has no alternate strategy you can safely say Nigeria may be locked down one way or another till January 2021 at the earliest.

Two things are critical here. A massive increase in testing or an alternative strategy to combat covid 19. Without these two or one of these two Nigeria is sunk. Very, very few, not even the Federal goverment will be able to last till 2021 without productivity.

No, I don't. I believe if the COVID-19 test is freely done at every local government or state, the figure will be more.

So which way did south Korea go about, you didnt bother to explain

There is a dangerous infectious virus rampaging around, people have been asked to stay home so index cases can be figured out and the sick or likely to be vulnerable can be traced and isolated and released.

You are saying copying this copying that,

Nigerians smh

Lockdown doesn’t work in a country with poverty rate like Nigeria. Look for other models that are not to detrimental to the citizens. You will learn the hard way
