At 6pm today the Kano State Ministry of Health announced that a 4th case of coronavirus had been confirmed in the state. See previous thread here https://www.nairaland.com/5793610/additional-case-coronavirus-confirmed-kano In response to this development, the Kano State governor, Dr Umar Ganduje has ordered a complete lock down of the state as from Thursday the 16th of April. This was made known by his special adviser on new media Salihu Tanko Yakasai (@Dawisu). Peacock @dawisu H.E @GovUmarGanduje has ordered for a complete lockdown of Kano State from Thursday 16th of April, and the lockdown is expected to last for initial 7days. Hope they will abide to the lockdown. Media house ( Radio Stations and TV Stations) in Kano has to take this issue very personal via sensitisation and proper orientation of the northern ppl. Educating them abt Covid-19 at this time is very important. 1 Like |

The compliance with the order is directly proportional to the rate of stomach well being. That is, once real hunger hits people hard, they will defy the stupid lockdown and go out. Lockdown with no provisions for the well being of the people. God will punish all these stupid leaders .. 4 Likes |
