deltateam:SA government has done a lot for her people. The problem is that there's only so much that government can do. Private groups are also helping but it's not enough. Most people don't understand that adjustment is needed in periods like this. They still want to live life the way they've been living before the lockdown. Looting of big supermarkets already started including shops of foreigners in the township. This isn't xenophobic... it's hunger plus criminality just like the 'one million boys' of Lagos. The earlier the lockdown is lifted the better the sanity of the masses... Nigeria's case will be worst as the day go by. 1 Like |

CoronaVirusPro: They are already doing that my brother. I live here in Johannesburg, they are breaking into foreign shops and bottle stores stealing alcohol. I don't understand how this people reason. I guess it's because the government doesn't punish them for all this nonsense. I know in Naija, if you break into somebody's shop and you were caught. Then prepare to meet your maker. Na shoot aside offense be that. Here in South Africa, their human right activists will justify the whole thing and back them up I never see this kain nonsense reasoning for my life 1 Like |

post=88456472: The pandemic is not even the main issue... It's the very least of our issues. It has merely exposed us all for the poor or lack of leadership we have been suffering for years in silence!!! |

Yujin: That's why total lockdown without provision for the poor is insensitive and stupid. |
Re: Lockdown: South Africans Clash With Police Over Food by Yujin(m): 10:04am On Apr 15, 2020 |
Angelfrost:I'll tell you sincerely that criminality is more of the problem in SA than the hunger. The government pays them grant monthly. Among those going for the looting are those who can afford to buy those things they're looting. The homeless including street kids(equivalent of agberos and almajiris) were taken off the streets to a secured area by the government. They're sheltered, fed and clothed with security around them. They've done more than Nigeria can ever do for her people. |

So rushing of food is not only peculiar to Nigeria, it shows that people are very hungry in this lockdown. |

So may my enemies keep gnashing at each other. God forsaken people and country. It was like yesterday they were killing foreigners and their police and politicians were supporting and covering it up. I hope they start eating each other soon. |

AlfaSeltzer: Playing to the gallery of your overlord. Don't be a willing slave to the 'divide and rule' system that brought us to this unenviable point. Look, foreigners laughing at this remark are laughing at both you and the so-called Afonjas. We may be different, but we've got common enemies. I think that's a superior standpoint. |

Pick up a relevant history book. Bottomline, misdirected emotional acid will perpetually position you at the bottom of the foodchain. |
