According to JAMB, students are expected to scan their fingerprint as part of the registration requirements to enhance an impersonation –free JAMB in 2011. The fingerprint scan will be verified at the Examination venue to ensure the student who registered for the examination is the same as the person writing the exam.

Speaking with Campusdaily, Bisi Adebola, a UTME candidate of English, University of Lagos, said the development is not African at the moment stating that considering the level of technology. According to him “plans should first be put in place at grassroots level to ensure that people are familiar with computer technology. JAMB is introducing a new technology without medium of assistance to people having difficulties with it’s crazy!”

Meanwhile, Mr. Ibrahim Ayodeji of Zenith café Akoka, said http://www.campusdailyonline.com/News/Headlines/utme-2011-jamb-biometric.html
