Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 3:52am On Apr 17, 2020
So a few days ago I made up my mind to try out affiliate marketing since I learnt about it some years back.
Have been having financial constrain so couldn't be able to finance my campaign.
About a week plus ago I gathered around 68k and wanted to fund my Zeropark account with PayPal and I was scammed by a Nairalander.
God willing I made up another 72k and bought from a genuine seller.
So far I have about $225 in my Zeropark(was given $25 bonus after I added some money)
I will be testing out some offers.
Yesterday I tried a keyword campaign for a sweepstake over and got no conversion(sales) spent around $6+ and made nothing
So today am trying out casino offer with push notification traffic.
I budgeted $20 a day.
Will be testing to see if I can get a conversion.
The offer am promoting pays $8 per sign up.
Will be sharing some screenshot tomorrow as soon as the campaign get approved and running and also if I get any registration.
If at all I get a single conversion(registration) I will be glad.
I intend testing out this offer with $100 for a start.
And scaling later if successful.
Below is a screen shot of my traffic source dashboard (zeropark)
My tracker(BeMob)
And my affiliate network dashboard(ytz international)
For each day I will be giving account of spend and earnings in this documentary.
I hope you all enjoy the thread...
Stay tuned.

Sorry for not updating soon.
I have been running my campaign since 18th but had series of issues with tracking and so on.
So far with my testing I have tried 2networks 4 offers and many GEOS.
As of today I have only $42 left on zeropark cry
I have dome series of testing.
I tried ytz had over 72 conversion/sales but all is totalling around $8 why, I ran the campaign for 3days spent around $160 on ytz.
2 offers and up to 8geos countries.
So on the 20th I applied for lospollos and on the first day earned $11.57.
Though good but my tracking wasn't set correctly so I lost all my data.
Since I see light I'm the tunnel with them am going to keep testing the offer am promoting but that will be tomorrow when my manager rectify my tracker.
Will post a few pics with updates.
With this $42 am hopimg to make around $200+ from lospollos.
Right now I will still collect data for 2days and optimize.

On the 17th, I spent $41.13
11204 clicks
Made $0
ROI = -100%

Re: Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 1:23am On Apr 23, 2020
On the 18th
I tried pop traffic and targeted a lot of offers
And also promoted an offer from traffic company(an affiliate network) cause they have pay per call offer.
Also I was still trying 2 offers from ytz(smartlink) too.
I spent $30.97
203,877 clicks
Had 1 conversion = 0.03 cry
ROI = -99%

Re: Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 1:45am On Apr 23, 2020
On 19th I tried out all tier 1 country to see if I can get anything with pop traffic its worse
Spent $20.35
199,867 clicks
Had 1 conversion/sign up
Made $0.02
ROI= -99%

Re: Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 2:15am On Apr 23, 2020
On the 20th I kept trying the smartlink on ytz
Spent $28.93
9,837 clicks
47 conversion/sign ups
Made $5.94
ROI = -80%

The problem with smartlink is these, since it have multiple offers appended to it, each conversion have variable amount and also dependent on the country you are promoting
On the 20th i found a geo that gave me over 40 conversions but on ytz the payout was small averaging 0.13 per sign up.
As at today(23rd) lospollos pays avarage 0.54 on same country
Although I still decided to keep testing so I can find the targets/website on Zeropark that gave me the conversion.
Which I did

Re: Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 2:26am On Apr 23, 2020
On the 21th I kept trying the smartlink on ytz
Spent $13.47
5171 clicks
27 conversion/sign ups
Made $2.41
ROI = -82.98%%

Re: Affiliate Marketing Case Study by dmostcheerful(f): 2:43am On Apr 23, 2020
On the 22nd I moved my campaign to lospollos.
I decided to try it out and foam it was awesome.
Each conversion was around $0.54 per dollar.
But then, in the morning after setting my campaign my tablet screen got broken before I could repair it in the evening (was late cause of the lock down)
One website on Zeropark squandered $30 from my campaign and gave me no single conversion.
It was a bad day, coupled with the fact that my conversion was not showing on my tracker too.
I spent $41.79 dollars
11,165 clicks
22 conversion on lospollos
Made $11.57
-95.1%ROI
I will still try it today.
Cause I see potentials.
With the $42 dollars in my account am hoping to get back my full $200 after testing and optimizing this campaign.
On ytz international this same geo gave me around $0.12 per conversion but lospollos is paying $0.54
Since my tracker isn't set properly I will show my lospollos dashboard for my earnings and Zeropark for my spend.

Hello OP, I've read through your affiliate journey so far and I like that you kept testing/optimising to break even and start making gains..but I've got some questions...

Isn't it better to promote products that you can easily break even on advertising spend with just 1 sale/conversion? (Click bank, Jvzoo, Envato, Warrior+)
I could see that even with 47 conversions, you didn't even begin to make headway on ROI. You'd need above 250 conversions to break even.

Isn't Facebook a better ad platform for its laser targeting ability?

Well Facebook is good but with the Much rules and regulation on advertising terms I prefer ppv any day any time.
I do run ads with bing too and prefer weight loss and health niche as it sells fast.
I just wanted to test out ppv since it's last I used it and as it stands I haven't even stopped am still testing.
One thing with ppv is that its the only place you can make an ROI of a thousand plus as I have previously done that severally before.

Okay. You are right, FB can be very strict regarding certain niches. I've downloaded hundreds of video courses and walkthrough on affiliate marketing, I feel like a pro cheesy . Trying to gather some capital before I dive into it fully.

In affiliate marketing if you want to earn and keep on earning, you need the following:
1. A domain and Hosting: you need this to set up your squeeze page.
2. You need an Autorespondant: to build up your list and automate your affiliate campaigns.
"The money is in the list". This statement is true.
3. You need to promote product on clickbank, JVzoo and Warriorplus.
4. Focus.
Affiliate marketing is not trial by error.
5. You can earn from free and paid traffic. But having your own traffic is the best way to earn and keep on earning via email marketing.

What you said is right in some ways but then look at it this way, people promote they link in normal traditional old method ppc and social media but forgot that they are other promotional method, what I used above is ppv(RON traffic and pops) and also what I promoted is smartlink, a link that have hundreds if not thousands of offers attached to it, and is smart enough to know the attribute of every device that clicked it, so it doesn't require lander.
I forgot to mention, I am good with ppc/search traffic(bing and adword too)
Oh before I forget, affiliate marketing is trial and error as in you have to try and try and try. forget what you see online from super affiliate, they also fell and fell till they get it right and all they will show you is only there success. you have to test and test before you get a successful campaign(from there you can recover all your lost).
Also in all you mentioned I didn't see a tracker in all you listed you cannot succeed without a tracker in fact without a tracker you are not doing anything right.
The above affiliate network you mention have 80% digital products, which only works with ppc and social traffic.
And what I promote is mainly sign up, install and opt-ins...
I will keep this trade updated as soon

I didn't mention all but indeed a tracker is needed as you said.
