Everybody is just showing stupidity and greed in this country. You said government is not given food, now government is given food you are complaining of the queue. I can remember seeing a very longer queue of Americans or so in their cars waiting to collect food items.
Unfortunately when these things are done in other countries, we see it as a welcome development but once it happened in our country, it immediately becomes a crime. In most time this stupid people don't tag it as a crime because they have the interest of the masses at heart but because they need a caption that will induce the masses to watch their video or so while they make money from the same people they claimed to be speaking for.

This is a dilemma for anyone at the helms of affair...

Lift the lockdown and battle with the aftermath by spending huge amount of money to fight the virus.

Or

Pay the citizens to stay at home, pray that they heed thereby lessening the amount needed to fight the virus.
One way or the other money must be disbursed.

The year is 2020. Try to learn to not make baseless comparisons of the such you attempt above.

The images you pull of queues in places like america happen to be legit because the US has a food security & nutrition program that ensures that it's citizens( and immigrants) have access to adequate food and nutrition needs paid and organized with tax-payer money( USFDA - June 30, 1906; 113 years ago with a 2020 budget of about 3.6 Billion). These food banks are open to people in need on a regular basis, not just during pandemics of this sort.

Having people break social-distancing suggestions during a pandemic because of hunger is not the way to start or run a successful food security program. And government realizing this need right in the middle of a pandemic is not at all encouraging in any way.
