Kano state government has reportedly release the full list of prominent people who dead from a strange disease which is spreading like a wide fire in the state.

These is obviously not best times for Kano State in Nigeria’s North as a medical doctor has reportedly alleged that the death toll in Kano state has risen to 640 after a strange disease allegedly hit the Northern state.

Recently, some social media platform reported that about 150 people died under the space of three days, causing undertakers and grave diggers in the city to express deep concerns.

The dead bodies buried in three cemeteries excludes others buried in dozens of burial grounds across the eight local government areas that constitute Kano metropolis according to Daily Trust.

Kano State today also confirmed 74 new cases of COVID-19 within 24 hours, an exponential increase from when the index case was first reported 11 days ago.

On Saturday, news spread that several prominent residents have dropped dead in the last 24 hours. While some had coronoavirus symptoms, what hit others still remain unknown. There are speculations of meningitis but residents say they cannot even explain what’s going on in the ancient city.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had shut down in the state on Wednesday on 22nd of April, and no definite date for resumption.
