A Girl has insinuated on her social media page that schooling in Nigeria does damage to the brain and stated ways to put the brain in order if you schooled in Nigeria. She said that if you know you schooled in Nigeria, a lot of damage have been done to your brain and you should put your brain in order by re-educating yourself. On ways on how to re-educate yourself, she said you should please try and be watching Ivy League Professors on youtube, read wide because you might most likely have comprehension, communication, and analysis problem. ∆ Well said. But if you schooled anywhere try to reeducate yourself, personal research and personal discovery is very golden. YouTube ke? YouTube doesn't have answers to everything fa, remember say study geh levels? So, can we say that if you didn't go to ivy league schools to learn under their professors it is synonymous to schooling in Nigeria even if you studied in Russia? Her view is good but it is not wholesome as well. ∆ 8 Likes 2 Shares |

KingAzubuike: ∆ You'll fail woefully if you don't work hard under any ivy league professor. Except for the poor system of education in Nigeria, you still can't go to a Nigerian varsity and be sleep without working hard as well. Even graduating with a pass requires hard work. The dude right kind of. ∆ |

OrestesDante:I just hate hearing thrash like if you can graduate in Nigeria, you can do well academically anywhere in the world. If you don't work very hard, you'll fail. Infact you have to work harder than you did in Nigeria. It's one thing to graduate and it's another thing to graduate well. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Wrong! schooling in Nigeria sharpens your brain. A lecturer would come twice, and set the whole course outline for exam. Abroad they give area of concentration but, for here who go give you. Abroad their math questions go like this: "using formular a-b=c solve the following" but here who go give you formular for exam hall, you must cram all the formular. Why you no go sharp after four years? 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Me what I know is that if you were a genius before entering school in Nigeria by the time you emerge as a graduate your brain functions would be diminished in one capacity or another. 3 Likes |

wrong. it does no damage to the brain. Learning anything new doesn't do damage. you can always re-educate yourself or go into learning into field totally off what you usually do. We have professors in Naija that only schooled here and are trailblazing worldwide. if she is talking about increasing your exposure and finding better ways things can be done, i agree. but even people come from overseas to learn things from Naija. I don't why some pple will always want to make it appear like no good thing can come from Nigeria, if they go shopping, they post it online, they post their food online, wat is d aim of all these, but inwardly they are jealous of the achievements of der mates in nig. I've lived abroad and I've lived in Nig so I know wat I am talking abt. Living abroad is okay but it's not like 'heaven on earth'. Most pple abroad wish to return to nig but shame no dey gree dem. 8 Likes 1 Share |

She is absolutely right. From the attitudes of your professor alone which goes a long way to navigate your psych to the manners in which most of them teach. It's not surprising that majority of us excel well academically outside. 1 Like |

Education in Nigeria is bad. The Motive, the Essence, the quality etc..needs to be rearranged inside out, From primary to tertiary. The very poor renumeration of Teachers, the stupid, disgusting damaging Infusion of religion in the school, the school uniform ish, the grading system, Manner of Discipline and Punishment, to mention a few. Most of my teachers were idiots! Even the ones that were trained teachers (NCE, PGd, B.ed) This matter long abeg, we go dey talk am anoda day. I will not even go into those jagbajantis middle-class Private Schools in Lagos and all the tutorial and lessons now affiliated with them, cos the way I see it the OP still had good education at least by the Nigerian standards. 2 Likes |

oboy81:The first day I walked into my class here,( I started late), The lecturer said I should call her by her name Shuu. Next thing, she has my number. So all other lecturers. At first, it was hard but I adapted. Classworks is like discussing with your buddies. During this lockdown, we had sessions through the internet. Students started complaining it's hard for them, they opted for plan B by sending school works, assignments what have u through the post. U finish at a stipulated time and post. They constantly call and the first question is how are you and your family doing. Any problem let me know so I can break it down via email. But we will revisit all as soon as school starts. Why won't u come at the top in your class. Even with family and work? Leave naija education pleases. 1 Like |
