Residents of sango, oke andy and kulende area of ilorin today took to the street to protest against the ibadan electricity distribution company, (IBEDC) in what they descibed as height of insensitivity and wickedness by the baboko district office of the company in ilorin the kwara state capital..

The residents were Carrying placards with various inscriptions caturing their grievance agasinst IBEDC services in the area.

The people threaten to unleash their anger on any staff of the company should they venture to the area to distribute bills.

They also appeal to the state government to find alternative solution to perpectual blackout in the area.

Some of the residents who spoke with newsmen lament the untold hardship experienced due to power failure and nonchalant attitude of baboko district office of the company.

Some business men and women in the area decried setback in their businesses as well as the complete shut down of social activities in the area especially as the
Lockdown bites harder.

They however appeal to the state government to find alternative solution to perpectual blackout in the area saying it is impacting negatively on economy of the area as well as revenue generstion for the government.
