Those bandits are not pushovers that any soldier will be happy to battle. They are masters of the forest and the soldiers are going to battle with them on a level ground with just only their Aks.

By the time those soldiers will see an empty bike running round the forest with nobody on it, their morale will cut by 50% the remaining morale will be fight for survival.
