Salamu Alaikum Wa Ramatullahi Warabarakatuhu,

This question has been on my mind since few weeks ago due to the lock down amidst the coronavirus pandemic. I was to get my nikkah done on 12th April, 2020. But as a law abiding citizen, my family, my spouse's family and I had to reschedule the ceremony indefinitely but with the easing of the lock down from Monday 4th May, 2020, is it permissible to have the ceremony done without going against the tenets of the Islamic doctrine. It's going to be a very simple ceremony attended by just a handful of persons from both families.
Jazakhallah.

Wa alaikum salam warahmatullah wabarakatuh.

Do the Aqd at home and take your wife with you! If Allaah permits later you may do the waleemah (feasting).
