If the brand cares about the audience, they'd "educate" their customers by releasing new technologies instead of profiting off their ignorance. Most people that saw USB-C called it "Samsung charger" and thought I was using a chinko phone cos to them, only Samsung has the right to use the port.

In case you don't know, they're doing this to boost sales IN Africa as it's obvious sales are slowly going down and they're gonna be out of the market. The rest of the world wouldn't be caught dead with a brand that sells out the same piece of hardware with little to no additions at a premium, hell a burner phone is FAR more sturdy than most their products.


Instead of using the money they getting from gullible people here and some parts in Africa, they wasting it signing popular figures and sponsoring a reviewer with a questionable history. After all, if a popular figure posts on SM that this product is good (it's bad but hey they getting paid to read the scripts), trust Nigerians to rush and buy without doing proper research.

Yeah over the years they hav been using big screens with poor display tech,crappy cameras and big battery numbers(high mAHs)which may sound good on paper but doesn't translate in the same way in real life usage.All of these just to deceive Africans because competition was low,some of their regular competitors were also making the same crap and selling them at the same price and Nigerians never wise up dat time.But Thank God for the healthy/better competition coupled with online shopping nw,Man can nw make the best decision when purchasing a smartphone that will give him the best value for his money at the end of the day.....

Lemme break it down for you..

North America - carriers won't support them cos they offering outdated specs, if they decide to go the xiaomi route they'll just close and leave North America.

South America - these guys value their money and will bash any company trying to swindle them of their hard earned money. Not a good place for them cost wise

Europe - EU laws will force them to use decent hardware on their device. If they don't, they can't sell there and if a complaint is raised against them and it's investigated, the outcome won't be nice for them

Asia - most people here are so tech conscious they reject anything with mediocre build and hardware but it is also the biggest market for OEMs. How will they sell here or make a decent appearance here?

Where will they start from eh? Home base and they can't sell their own products, few people from there I've asked said they don't even know Transsion holdings or if they do, don't know what they make

and you need to ask yourself if it's the SD 855 that is on the Tecno, would it be affordable to the common man ?

common snapdragon 630 on the infinix zero 6 was sold for 130k so how much more would a much better SD 855 on a transsion device sell?

i'll bet, the common man that the so called cheap and affordable franschise is after would wail and complain.
