Anyone that puts peter tosh b4 marley really understands the mystic and story of reggae though my number 1 spot goes to peter.
That's true; he's lyrics and songs were very deep and spiritual. His song "Lesson In my Life" literally brought me out of depression years back. Thank you Peter Tosh!

That the same song reminds how he died.they where the original and gifted prophets we never had. They saw tomorrow. He canvassed for legalisation of weed and everyone was on his neck even the jamaican govt fought him but what is happening today. The world is enjoying and worshipping the weed.

I don't classify lucky dube as a good reggae man. Very shallow music and no depth. Everything I look at for in reggae music are lacking in his songs. Marley is miles above every other reggae artist. High inspiration and depth. There are also other good ones in that regard.
Your judgment here is shallow.

It doesn't make it reggae, does it. You can't classify Vybz Kartel or Movado as reggae artists because dancehall is a sub genre of reggae.

They were good but I prefer Beres Hammond style. Remember I mentioned "my choice". Morgan Heritage was among top 100 best reggae artists
i always listen to reggae but weekend is special
every Sunday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, I always groove to all kinds of reggae even from busy signal
and also from 6:00 PM i continue where I left off

Yeah, exactly. I like your analysis. Most people might take KSA over Ebenezer Obey. But then, KSA's music is jazzy, too jazzy if you ask me, making it lose the harmony. But Obey's music is more melodious. The chords are picked to follow the rhythm of the song. Harmony is what makes music!

That's exactly what it is for Marley and Dube. Dube's music is more melodious than Marley's.

My opinion though.

Boss, Most would pick Ebenezer Obey over Sunny Ade,yes similar thread has been pushed to front page before concerning Obey and Sunny and most people picked Obey over Sunny, music is not about noise, if I am asked, I will pick Dube because he also has melody. Obey is the real king of JuJu music, just that Obey is not arrogant in nature.
