churches are in homes now until the buildings are opened again for service. There is a reason and a purpose for everything. God is omniscience and He is wiser than man.

They told the king, “Dan 3:16-18

“16b, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

What a faith?

While those kind of physical structures and set up where we are coaxed to bow in denial of Jehovah seem obsolete, there are modern systems. Some are buried in office policies that mandate us to cut corners, defraud other people or give bribe and this could be ‘legal.’

Systems that make you tell a lie to own a visa that throws you out of this ‘bad’ Nigeria. Systems that mandate you to pay money to pass an exam. Systems that make you settle for a relationship when you know it is not part of God’s plan for your life.

Mr Oyedepo and his cohorts all over the world are charlatans, he is a metaphysician, agnothesist, they have doubts about God in the comfort of their homes, and hypocritical confess about him in the open.
They equates themselves above Jesus Christ, and having gotten their tongue brunt.
Where is their power of spoken words? to heal? to raise the dead? Or speak to one cup of rice and one banga fish, and a whole Lagos is feed?

No money in church , looking for tithe and offering. People can worship at home. It's time for church to take care of members who has been contributing with little they earned . Say no to brainwashing from pastors

Please food is much more important than clamouring for tithe and offerings. They are only interested in money. Stay in your house and pray. After all Paul and Silas prayed inside prison and angel came down! Nonsense. I will slap any selfish greedy pastor now that annoys me

I believe the tithes are not forthcoming again. Many pastors will be crying out to support this movement of churches reopening

I have been paying mine online for several years and I just paid another one a few days ago.

Tithe is paid on a salary or a business increase. If you have none of these, you are not obligated to do so. I have both, so I pay because of my love for God.

A cylinder of oxygen in the hospital costs N5,000 per hour as I was told. How many hours of free air have I been breathing for all these decades I have been on earth? Can I pay God for it?

I owe God my life and paying a tenth of my earnings is one of the few ways I can say thank you. I do not know about you or others.

He and the market woman have 2 things in common:

1. They are both businessmen

2. They care about their bottomline!

1. They miss the veneration and glorification that belongs to God that they get.

2. They fear people might finally find out the truth that God can hear and answer their prayers without them.

3. The money, yes, but they have that in excess excessively, they miss that too, but that's thirdly.

There are alternatives to markets, any public gathering can cause the spread. What the government should have done is home supply of the basics or 100k per bvn cash payment prior to a complete lockdown.

thank you. That is what the early Christians did in the days of Paul in Antioch. The early Christians shared all they had in common. That is the true meaning of church. People bring what dey had to share, everyone. Now is the time to share what we have amongst ourselves, to act the love that has been preached since. Yet they want to collect more and more offerings.

There are no true alternatives to markets.

Forget online stores. They will be overwhelmed if we were all to shop. Moreover, how many online stores manage perishables well?

It might work in developed countries with solid road networks. But in Africa, where most countries are low-income, online stores would be overwhelmed if we were to erase physical markets.

There are alternatives to 'church gathering' as individuals can still meet at family or house fellowship level. But there is no alternative to going to market. People must feed.

Abi Bishop will feed his flock (tens of thousands) with physical food after feeding them with spiritual food? Jesus did it, Bishop should also do it.

Bishop Oyedepo should announce free lunch for all worshippers on Sunday with an additional #5000 pocket money for indingent worshippers every Sunday.

And let no pastor sermonise worshippers to give. The giving should be voluntary and the poor should not be made to feel as if they sinned by not giving or that they are blocking their source of blessings by not paying tithe.

The gospel has gone beyond the elementary doctrines of tithing, giving and prosperity.

True talk man.
A pastor made fun of me in church (RCCG VI) because I didn't stand during offering.
I was jobless and broke and I Respected myself when others are standing but he insisted that I stand pretending I have or leave the church.

Is this how Jesus thought as us to practice Christianity?

he is saying the fact. Most people here are just unwise when it comes to spiritual things. Mind the way you abuse men of God, if you persist it will be to your own detriment.

is it a must you have to be in the church building before you can say that you are going to church. Prayer is essential but you can pray from you home and God will listen. You can't stay at home and you expect food stuffs to come meet you at home. I see no reason why he should be complaining if not for the fact that offerings are not coming in the way they used to.

Now churches and mosques are still locked..is this getting better?.The truth is human beings are used to a certain lifestyle and absent of that is also killing people daily. Imagine an old grand ma always looking forward to going to services on Sunday morning.A slight stoppage of those physical and spiritual exercises will shrink the body and soul also for many others who are use to such routine.

The world is now realising that staying at home is even killing them. UK, US have been protesting since to return to their normal life.

Let government open the churches give them rules and social distancing, let people who don't have access to their pastors online go to church. Let the pastors start casting out demons again lol.. Healing the sicks and many miracles. We need to avail all opportunities to get quick healings from covid 19.

Am sure demons/ devils are so much happy now. Lol.

Oyedepo is a wise man and knows the tricks of the devil and his demons against the church of God.

This man is bless and does not depends on the income of the church to survive, he had last taken salary since 80s. Organisations , Individuals are benefiting though his ministry on daily bases.Covenant university alone feeds many family and homes.

I pray Government return churches back and give them rules for now. Truly, if market were allow why are you still holding the churches closed. Behold, how beautiful and how pleasant it is for brethren to gather together in unity.

There is a corperate Annointing when believers gather in fellowship to pray..Forget not the assembly of brethren. Church is a servicing centre for true believers can't compare to online platform.

Anyway, i believe gradually things will get better and the churches will be back.Let somebody shout HALELLUYAHHH!!

Re opening church is like re opening the economy, there are more than 1000 church in Lagos, when all the churches in the country open means there is no lock down, there won't be social distancing, everyone will want to be in church, there will be many buses on the road and there won't be a way to stop the spread of the virus...
South Korea church tried this rubbish and one person with the virus infected most of the congregation.
You are blaming scientist yet you use phone, go to hospital when sick, use car and private jet, who is fooling who wink
