Whether Ebola or corona are d same thing isn't d issue. Going by d nonchalance of this govt, its very possible that if it was Ebola, they would have allowed their nonchalance & nepotism to make a mess of things. This govt had every opportunity to nip corona virus in d bud at d early stages, but they refused to do it despite public outcry. What d minister is saying isn't just an admission of failure but an obvious fact that many Nigerians saw coming & predicted. Like d gentleman said, don't bring PDP into this. Its not necessary

It's unfortunate that our distinguished Minister is just getting to know that the self isolation policy failed.

Dear Hon Minister, the policy failed right from when "our special representatives" and other initial cases were allowed into the country and asked to self-isolate, without monitoring.

What we are currently doing with the returnees was what I expected the Govt to have done long before now. The negligent policies of our Government brought us to where we currently are.

Stupid people. How can you expect it to work? You allow thousands to enter the country and then tell them to go home and self isolate. Nonsense. Nigerians dey hear word? This should have been thought of. Daft and dumb mfks

ordinary person knows that people coming into the country will NEVER self isolate.. why? they are the bigwigs, influential, politicians, elites and the crème LA crème.. the country had collapse from this simple error.. they knew this from onset.. now economic power lost, cash crash,inflation etc..
simple quarantine of who is who..from the king to the servant that had traveled out..lock them in a place. examine their health status at the time and pass note of warming to anyone who wanna come that they will be quarantine upon arrival..

but alas, Nigeria airport became the transit routes to people travelling abroad from all.other countries. Govt was making money from aircraft landing charge. some whites population sees that as avenue to be here..they came enmasse and infect people at airport, hotels, malls, restaurants, bars,public buildings etc..now all those money made can't equate the economic damage that the infection had caused..that is the level of ignorant our leaders have..blinded by gains...let's wait to see what will happen next

He pretends not to know that it is all about corruption. The security agents meant to enforce the lockdown collect bribes to allow folks flout the lockdown and here we are! As to the delay in closing the borders and airports it is beyond doubt that it was deliberate to allow folks who were rushing back in mostly infected to enter the country and here we are!

They hear abroad country self isolating, quarantining and lockdown they too copy them without understanding the main principles of those things

next they hear other abroad countries easing lock down they too copy them without doing anything for the masses meanwhile within the lockdown period they have used scam palliatives to make more than enough money in their pocket
