According to Saharareporters anyway. Up PDP (Political desperados Party) !!!!! http://saharareporters.com/news-page/pdp-presidential-primaries-abuja-live Professor Tunde Adeniran is the party's electoral officer for today. SaharaReporters contacted him twice last night to clarify allegations that Chief Anthony Anenih (Mr. Fix It) had forced party delegates to be accredited in Governor Lodges of the various states as opposed to a general accreditation process, but twice the professor politician told our reporter that he was busy in meetings with the committee saddled with conducting a "free and fair " election today. |

redsun: Na so OOO my brother . When the results are announced later today one camp will celebrate as if they have all just won the lottery when , in reality , Nigeria is the big loser with how the choice of who becomes the candidate of the ruling Party falls between two very poor candidates who simply represent 4 more wasted years for our Nation and the continuation of "more of the same" for folks like Anenih who have destroyed Nigeria. This is why El Rufai states that the 2011 elections may be a waste of time: http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201101133152667 2011 elections will not save Nigeria, says El-Rufai |

Why should you blame them? When even the top music artistes are selling themselves and singing songs for corrupt politicians. PS : Remind me to become a pdp delegate |
Re: Jonathan Outbids Atiku ! by Lagosboy: 1:59pm On Jan 13, 2011 |
I dont know if i should cry or laugh but can these delegates not use their brains and vote their conscience. I dont blame them for collecting the money at all as it is their money but at least vote with some intelligence and not the highest bidder. |

Re: Jonathan Outbids Atiku ! by Bariga1(f): 2:30pm On Jan 13, 2011 |
I have said it and will continue to say: we need nothing short of a Rawlings approach to getting all the “dead wood” out of politics. Things are going from bad to worse. POLITICS is the only means to being rich at the moment in Nigeria. Are we really ready for democracy? because what we are currently practicing is demonstration of craziness. GEJ might have been a good choice but he is too busy trying to clinch power. Also too many people placed him in power which he needs to please. Nigeria needs help: military where are you? |
Re: Jonathan Outbids Atiku ! by Gbawe: 2:31pm On Jan 13, 2011 |
Mobinga: Are we not talking of the same main stream media that actually took an oath of secrecy with the Yar Adua Govt , "in the interest of national security" , that prevented any of them , back then , from revealing the truth about Yar Adua's real state of health to Nigerians when our former President was rushed abroad for treatment? Main stream media is heavily compromised and nigh useless in Nigeria . That is why saharareporters and 234next , with all their faults , still stand head and shoulder above others as purveyors of news that show Nigerians what is actually going on. |
Re: Jonathan Outbids Atiku ! by Nobody: 2:34pm On Jan 13, 2011 |
Yemi Sowore, please provide proof and stop this wild and baseless allegations!. We suspect you are on the payrol of the ACN people but concentrate on selling your party (ACN). |

Jonathan Alleges Plot to Bribe The Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organi-sation has said it has unravelled plans by rival presidential aspirants to induce delegates to today's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention with huge sums of money in order to sway their votes. In a statement signed by its Director of Planning, Research and Strategy, Dr. Mike Omeri, the campaign organization advised delegates to reject "the Greek gift" and "vote for the transformational leadership represented by President Goodluck Jonathan". Omeri said: “Information available to the campaign organisation indicates that a rival presidential aspirant has raised funds from within and outside the shores of Nigeria for the purpose,” adding however that the Jonathan team "is confident that delegates are very responsible and would not fall to cheap inducement that is capable of mortgaging the future of the country". The campaign's chief strategist said the delegates are too decent to be manipulated by "desperate politicians who believe that money could buy anything under the sun". Omeri was optimistic that Jonathan would pick the PDP ticket with ease because "he has been accepted as the Nigerian consensus candidate and not otherwise", saying, "We are not disturbed because apart from Jonathan being the Nigerian consensus candidate, he is also a divine intervention who is ready to spearhead the transformation of Nigeria from the doldrums of the past to a glorious future" http://www.thisdayonline.com/ |

@ilugunboy, I wonder what some people represent with their utterances. i don't want to believe that with the level of corruption and inimical way the nation ship is been driven hence their dummy reactions toward inefective or focuseless way of driving the nation, if you want to know how deepiest corruption is in this country go to power sector infact every sectors are corrupt and the only solution is to apprehend all these criminals. |
Re: Jonathan Outbids Atiku ! by Gbawe: 2:50pm On Jan 13, 2011 |
spyder880: Does anyone believe that folks like Anenih et al are busting a gut helping Jonathan because they want a better Nigeria? hell no !!! Those guys are all expecting to treble their wealth , with "our money" , under GEJ. If Atiku wins na the same story because he comes with his own greedy cronies who will have to be 'fed' as well. PDP must go and they will . Just watch guys . I don talk am . Nigeria has always been difficult to keep together but with some lightweights now running the show , shortsightedly, selfishly and pugnaciously , the centre will not hold. |
