The controversy surrounding selection of a new king in Otun-Ekiti, Moba local government of Ekiti State took another dimension as one of the contending Princes declared himself Oore of Mobaland.

Prince Adekunle Adeagbo who purported emerged from selection process conducted by two out of five Kingmakers on Thursday shared pictures where he adorn himself like a king as against Chieftaincy law of Ekiti State.

Prince Adekunle Adeagbo who is among the seven princes presented by Ile-Iyaba Ruling House shares some pictures on his Facebook page- Adekunle Adeagbo with inscription: '' Fulfillment of Destiny, A divine mandate: Oore of Otun Ekiti. Peace, Tranquillity and Prosperity.''
Investigations revealed that the pictures were taken inside Ile-Odua, the Palace of Ooni of Ile-Ife.

Prince Adekunle Adeagbo had on May 5, 2020 visited Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi where he presents himself as Oba-elect of Otun-Ekiti.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Otun-Ekiti Youth Forum, Comrade Sunday Adebayo has called on Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Ooni of Ile-Ife to order, as his desperate moves is threatening peace of the ancient.

According to the law guiding chieftaincy only the governor can ratify nomination of any king after recommendation from the Kingmakers.

The Youth accused THE KING MAKERS of not carryinh out the CONSULTATION with the oracle at the designated place which is known as IDI-EGUN at ODO-OJA and which is the place it has been done from time immemorial.

It is a known fact that any traditionalist or oracle consultant that lies about the outcome will definitely be punished severely (sudden death inclusive)and this punishment will extend to anyone involved in the perversion. For this reason, THE KING MAKERS decided to change the venue to the palace of the head of the AFOBAJE, a.k.a OBANLA.

Also, one of the irregularities that marked the process is the absence of all the chiefs of the town that were to be present at the venue to watch the process.
