I'm curious to know: Why do you think some feel the need to hide their relationship status on their Facebook profiles?

Could it be put down to the person "being private"

OR

"Being Secretive"

OR

"Is the person being mischievous"?

Some even lie on their profiles. I know a single mom (never been married) whose status reads "married".

I know a friend who has been divorced for a little over 5years whose status still reads, "married"

Some don't include marital status at all or set to "only me"

Some married people, especially men do not bother to change their statuses from "single" to "married"
